The next morning, Alyssa woke up and got dressed. Her top revealed most of her midriff, but not all of it. She was on her way to the market to buy more apples for Carmel. As she made her way downstairs, she encountered Lindsay. "Good morning, Alyssa! Where are you off to this morning?" Lindsay asked. "I'm going to the market to pick up more apples for Carmel," Alyssa replied. "Alright, if you run into Travis, you know what to do," Lindsay said. "Thanks for the reminder," Alyssa responded. She then headed to the stables to get Carmel, saddled him up, and set off for the farmers market.
As I made my way to the farmer's market, I felt uncertain about whether I would run into Travis. I secretly hoped I would, as I had something to share with him. Upon arriving at the market, I was taken aback by how busy it was. I dismounted from Carmel and instructed him to lie down and stay put, reminding him not to wander off.
Navigating through the bustling farmers market, I scanned the area but couldn't find what I was looking for until I spotted the apple cart.
"Wensley! Hey, Miss Alyssa, what can I get for you?" he called out.
"Good to see you, Wensley! I'll take a bag of apples, please," I replied.
"Sure thing! That'll be $1.50," he said.
I handed him the money. "Here you go."
"Thank you! Here are your apples. Oh, have you heard the news?" Wensley asked.
"Thanks! No, what is it?" I replied, curious.
"They're organizing a fundraiser to raise money for Crowley Corners," he informed me.
"Really? When is it?" I asked.
"I think it's a week from today," he said.
"Sounds great!" I responded.
"Well, I won't keep you. Have a wonderful day!" he said.
"Thank you!" I called back.
From Alyssa's perspective,
I had the apples now. I made my way back to Carmel, placed the apples in the wagon, and hoped they wouldn't fall out. I hopped back on Carmel and left the farmer's market, heading home. I really hoped to run into Travis because I had something important to confess to him.
