As Alyssa returned from the farmer's market, she spotted Travis. She sighed, feeling anxious about revealing her feelings to him. After putting Carmel away in the stables, she stored the rope as well. Then, she took the wagon filled with apples back to her house.
"Hi, Travis. What can I do for you?" Alyssa asked him.
"I want the truth," Travis replied.
"The truth? What truth?" Alyssa inquired.
"Do you like me?" Travis asked.
"No, why would you think that?" Alyssa responded.
"Yes, you do, because you're blushing," Travis said.
"Why does it matter to you?" Alyssa asked.
"Because I like you. I've liked you since we met, and I wish you felt the same way," Travis confessed.
Alyssa expresses her uncertainty, stating, "Well, I don't know."
Travis acknowledges her fear, affirming, "I understand that you are frightened, and you are entirely justified in feeling that way. What specifically are you afraid of, Alyssa?"
Alyssa responds, "Would it alter the facts?"
Travis inquires, "What, the fact that you have feelings for me?"
Alyssa affirms this with a nod.
In a gesture of affection, Travis embraces Alyssa tightly.
Alyssa then states, "I have to go."
Travis replies, "Goodbye, beautiful," as he kisses her on the cheek. Alyssa proceeds to enter the house for the evening
