Rhaenyra and I reached the beach where Seasmoke and his new rider were. We both stood a few meters away from them, our dragons standing intimidatingly behind us.

As we looked at the boy in front of, we shared a confused glance. He also did not have white hair. He was also dressed like the men that worked for Lord Corlys usually dressed. Was he a fisherman?

Also, this boy being Seasmoke's new rider meant that Laenor had truly died. Somewhere we did not know of. It saddened me, as I was sure it pained more Rhaenyra.

After a few seconds of facing each other, she decided to speak.

"You stand before the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and her Princess Hand... with a dragon of House Targaryen!" She exclaimed so he could her us.

"I had no design upon it!" The boy shouted back.

Rhaenyra and I shared a confused glance.

Did it happen to him the same thing that had happened to me?

"What do you want?" Rhaenyra asked him.

"To learn the ways of dragon rides." He told us with a smile as he went down in one knee. "And to serve my Queen! Your Grace." He bowed his head.

The dragons around us grumbled, probably talking amongst themselves.

Rhaenyra looked at me before we started to walk closer towards the boy, the dragons hot on our tails.

"You kneel quickly... for a man so suddenly elevated." Rhaenyra said, still suspicious of him.

"This dragon came to me, not I to him." He said, sounding genuine.

"It was the same thing that happened to me." I concluded out loud, making them both look at me.

"I have sweated blood in service of House Velaryon." He told us. "I may appear lowborn, but I know much and more of service! And if the Gods call me to greater things, who am I to refuse them?"

I liked this kid.

We walked even closer to him.

"Stand, boy." I said once we reached him.

"What is your parentage?" Rhaenyra asked, trying to find a correlation between our claims.

"My mother was a shipwright." He informed us. "My father is..." He paused as he looked down, a sorrow expression taking over his face. "No one of consequence."

I lifted my eyebrow at that response, but I let it slide. For now.

"Your ancestors, any of House Targaryen?" I asked him.

"Not that I know of." He sighed.

"What is your name?" I finally asked him.

"Addam... of Hull, Princess." He told me, somewhat ashamed.

Huh.

A bastard.

Rhaenyra and I looked at each other, not really knowing exactly how to process this.

"You have something, alongside with Marianne... I feared impossible... Addam of Hull." Rhaenyra said looking between us, almost in awe.

Addam looked at me and my dragon, finally understanding the deal of his Queen. We shared a supportive smile.

"I am glad of it." Rhaenyra said smiling at us.

"Do you think you can get him to Dragonstone?" I asked, challengingly.

"I can try." He said smiling, giving us a nod.

As Rhaenyra and I walked back to our dragons, we shared an almost giddy smile. After what felt like an eternity, we were finally getting enough power to match the Greens. It took time, but oh how sweet it is becoming.
