Sakura's heart was in her throat as she walked out of the library, Kakashi's words echoing in her mind.
"This doesn't end here."
He had said it again, and this time the weight of those words was heavier, more dangerous. There was no mistaking the meaning. Whatever had been building between them for months wasn't something they could keep denying. And he wasn't going to let her forget it.
As she walked through the nearly empty halls of the school, her mind spun with possibilities. What did he want from her? What did she want? Her emotions were a chaotic mess of fear, excitement, and something darker that she couldn't quite put into words.
The entire interaction had left her trembling. The way his gaze lingered, the sharp intensity of his voice-there was something predatory about it. And yet, the idea that he wanted her as much as she wanted him sent a thrill down her spine.
It was reckless, it was wrong, and it was inevitable.
That evening, Sakura couldn't focus on anything. Dinner with her family was a blur, and even when she tried to do her homework, the words on the page didn't make sense. She was restless, her mind constantly drifting back to Kakashi.
She found herself replaying the scene in the library, dissecting every word, every look. What did he mean by "for now"? Was he going to push this further? Or was he simply warning her again, trying to keep things professional while acknowledging the tension?
A small, dangerous part of her wanted him to push further. She craved it. The forbidden nature of it all made her heart race, and she couldn't help but wonder what it would feel like to cross that line.
The thoughts kept her awake, long after the house had gone silent. Lying in bed, she stared at the ceiling, her body hot with anticipation. She could feel the pull of him like gravity, drawing her closer and closer to something she knew she shouldn't want.
But that didn't stop her from wanting it.
The next few days were torture. Every time she walked into creative writing, her heart would pound in her chest, her palms sweating as she forced herself to act normal. Kakashi was calm and collected, as usual, his cool demeanor in place like his mask.
But there were moments-fleeting glances, the brush of his hand as he passed her desk-that made her feel like she was on fire. She could sense the tension between them, simmering beneath the surface. Every interaction was charged, every moment a test of willpower.
And Sakura wasn't sure how much longer she could hold out.
One afternoon, after class had ended and everyone had filed out of the room, she stayed behind, gathering her things slowly, trying to delay her exit. She could feel Kakashi watching her, and when she finally turned to leave, she paused at the door.
"Professor Hatake?" she asked softly, her voice barely above a whisper.
He looked up from his desk, his expression neutral but his eyes dark, watching her with that familiar intensity. "Yes?"
Her heart raced, and she struggled to find the words. She didn't know what she wanted to say-didn't know if she was even ready to say it. But the air between them felt thick, charged with something unspoken.
"About what you said... in the library," she began, her voice trembling slightly. "You said this doesn't end here."
Kakashi's gaze sharpened, and he stood up slowly, walking toward her with that controlled, deliberate grace that always sent her pulse skyrocketing. He stopped a few feet away, his presence overwhelming in the small classroom.
