The next day, Sakura wore her school skirt higher than usual, the hem teasing her thighs. Beneath, a pair of black lace panties clung to her skin, a deliberate choice. She stood at her locker, meticulously applying her strawberry lip gloss, each swipe of the applicator slow and precise.
Ino bumbled up beside her, her usual energy buzzing in the air. "Hey, Forehead. Why are you looking so slutty today? Did I miss something?" Ino's tone was teasing, but Sakura's heart skipped a beat at the question.
Sakura swatted at her playfully, trying to mask her intentions. "No, I just like to feel sexy sometimes, is all," she replied, hoping her casual tone would deflect attention.
Ino raised a brow, a mischievous smirk spreading across her face. "Is it for Professor Hatake?" she teased, her voice dripping with innuendo.
Sakura blushed furiously, her hand flying up to swat her friend again. "Of course not! How could you make such accusations?" she said, a little too defensively, though Ino was absolutely right.
Ino burst out laughing. "I'm just joking! Calm down." She shook her head with a smile. "Are you coming to lunch?"
"Yeah," Sakura nodded, adjusting her bag on her shoulder, her pulse racing with nervous anticipation.
They made their way into the cafeteria and settled at their usual table. Gossip flowed around her, but Sakura's mind was elsewhere. All she could think about was Kakashi—how he might react when he saw her today. She fidgeted, crossing and uncrossing her legs under the table, excitement fluttering in her stomach. She wondered if the sight of her today, her skirt higher and her lips glossier, would finally push him past the point of no return.
The bell rang, jolting Sakura back to reality. She gathered her things, heart pounding, as she made her way downstairs to the creative writing classroom. Her palms were slightly damp as she gripped the strap of her bag, her thoughts racing. She hoped Kakashi would be there when she walked in, watching her, noticing her.
When she arrived at the classroom door, her breath caught in her throat. Professor Hatake was already there, standing at his desk, rifling through papers. Sakura swayed her hips as she walked to her seat, her skirt lifting just enough to show a hint of her ass. She felt his eyes on her—hot, dark, and demanding. Their gazes locked for a moment before Kakashi cleared his throat and turned his attention back to the board.
"Today, we'll be focusing on narrative structure and dialogue," Kakashi announced, his voice steady though there was an edge to it. He began writing on the whiteboard, listing out key points. "A story needs a solid foundation, and that foundation starts with your structure. Think of it like a skeleton. Without it, the body of your story can't hold itself up." He spoke with his back to the class, but Sakura could feel his awareness of her presence.
Sakura glanced at the board, but the words blurred together. Her mind was elsewhere, spinning with thoughts of how close they were, how electric the air between them felt. She tugged at the hem of her skirt absentmindedly, her fingers grazing the soft fabric as her mind wandered to what might happen after class.
Kakashi continued the lesson for the remainder of class, walking back and forth as he explained the importance of pacing, tension, and release in writing. "Dialogue is key. It drives the narrative forward, gives life to your story. I'd like you all to work on that and we can present them to each other tomorrow."
The bell rang, signaling the end of class and pulling her out of her thoughts. She swallowed hard as the remaining students gathered their belongings and shuffled out, until it was just her and him left alone in the classroom.
As the door clicked shut, the silence in the room was thick with unspoken tension. Sakura stood a few feet from Kakashi, her heart pounding against her ribcage. Her gaze flicked to his, trying to read the intensity in his eyes as he stared at her. His jaw was tight, his hands flexing and releasing as though he were trying to restrain himself.
