Fall

The days shorten
The nights extend
Oh how I've waited for summer to end
And for the weather to finally soften

October, November
The months where the leaves fall
And everything no longer feels small
Some may say this time is somber
But I say the opposite.

Pumpkin Spice in the air
Candles lit everywhere
Sit by the window
And watch the piles of leaves grow

This time is a time of cheer
Because fall is here.
