TW: S/h implied
She's back
She keeps coming back.
Her demands are so persistent,
She knows how to control me.
I wish I was strong enough
I wish I could hold her back
But I'm not.
I'm too complacent.
It's easier to give in
Than to fight back.
She always wins.
Her ruby red eyes
Burn into my forest greens.
She puts me under a spell
To follow every command
And believe every word.
My eyes bleed sharp diamonds
As her long silver nails
Carve into me.
Almost as if she's carving a pumpkin
Even though Halloween is over.
She's a ghost that haunts me
Looming behind me
Waiting to strike again.
She's more powerful this time of year
But she's always there.
I'm scared she'll forever be here.
She's been around for 3 years
How long will this last
How long will it take to break free
Break free from her ruby reds
And her long silver nails.
