People want a good read. But when looking, pretty covers catch their eye. Mama's boy cover has bright colors. It's simple. It represents my book. It does exactly what I want it to do for a fluffy sweet book, it has a fluffy sweet cover.

If your writing a romance. Maybe more reds and darkness if there is a lot of mystery but your cover needs to sell it. Look at other covers of books. Magpie and get idea's before making your book. Look at books on your home page, my books covers.

When you make your book cover think as a reader. "Would I click on this and read it" if the answer is honestly no. Change your cover. Make idea boards, mood boards, all the boards! But your cover needs to represent your book. When people go...

"Did you read this book"

"What one?"

"The one with the woman and child on the cover that's yellow called mama's boy"

"Oh that one"

That means your cover is working. Book covers is just a form of clickbait I'll be honest so make your cover into something you would click on if your looking for a read.

Happy writing ✍️
