The rise of the flamed bird

Bernard and Mark started walking down a stoned path , Bernard was lost in his own thoughts.
He wondered if his sister was ok , he missed her deeply and wanted to see her as soon as possible. He knew it was not possible right now , Mark could overpower him within seconds , he was powerful , yes but Mark was smart and powerful, he had seen him rip through the werewolves with ease. He could become skilled only under Mark's guidance , he needed to become someone who both the vampires and the half breeds feared , he could feel that Audrey was safe .

He was brought back from his thoughts by Mark's voice, " We are here , boy  ! Let's see what you are exactly!"

"All of us half breeds undergo this, this makes us understand what gifts we have , there are five main half breed families and their branches. You will have to go through eight tests to sort yourself out. "

"The first is the house of Badeaux , known for their strength and durability this house tends to be  aggressive and takes on anger more quickly , thanks to their werewolf heritage, the second house is the house of Blaise , they have the ancestry of human warriors or the dragons , they are one of the most lethal ones and their traits vary from person to person , also I forgot to mention they have almost ceased to exist. The third one is the Myddelton half breeds , as in me , like me most of us can blur a person's eye sight for a short period of time , thanks to our vampire heritage and I also have got the half wolf form thanks to my werewolf heritage . The fourth is the Augustin half breeds , Joseph is an Augustin half  breed he is a witch a vampire , he has got the immortality of the vampire and the powers of the witches . The fifth house is the house of Dupont , not a single member of this house has been seen for almost a century , they are said to be the strongest of all houses as they have been chosen by the god himself to maintain the balance in this world."

"So little one which house do you belong to shall we find out ?" said Mark while remembering Bernard's burning form. Mark had never in his life seen a person take such a form he thought that he might be from the house of Myddelton earlier but with the glowing form the chances were slim

"Little one you must enter this structure alone, as a full fledged member of Joseph's force I cannot accompany you !" said Mark  as he stabbed Bernard with a needle.

Bernard without hesitation moved towards the gate of the odd structure. As soon as he entered inside it he was greeted by a pack of wolves , he was surrounded from all the sides , the wolves were relentless, they  continued to attack him one after another , Bernard could feel each and every bite and scratch mark that was being implied on him , he could feel the rage building up within him and the blood flowing out from all of the parts of his body .But somehow he was still standing , next all he remembered was the wails and cries of the wolves and then silence he had been suddenly moved to what seemed like a deep cave. It was hot and humid , Bernard saw a silhouette of a man coming towards him , the man suddenly transformed into a fire breathing beast ! He looked around and saw everything was on fire except for him .

Within the next second the scenario has been swapped again ! He was now in a room full of bats. The bats were screeching loudly and the next thing he knew a pale man came in front of him and his sight blacked   out just like it has when Mark had done it . When he opened his eyes he was in front of a gate which had an outlandish language written all over them , a palm print had been drawn on the side of the same and Bernard felt the urge to put his palms on it which he did and viola! the gate opened . When he entered through all he saw was white light and that was all he saw , he felt at home , unlike he had felt all those years at the island of varice.

He closed his eyes as he layed down on the soft ground but when he opened them he saw a worried  Mark looking over at him.

" Welcome back little one."  he said with a worried tone.

" So what house do I belong to Mark . " Bernard asked questioningly

" That's the thing young one , you belong to not just one but four of the five houses , it is a phenomenon that occurs once in  one thousand years , even the vampire king has seen such a thing. Because only the ruler of heaven can make such things happen."

"You have the blood of the house of Badeaux , the fire of the Blaise , the magic of the Augustin and the divinity of the Dupont!"

"At this moment even i am unsure which house you truly belong to , but what I know for sure is that you belong to the family of divine , young one , only a few families can overpower you. "

" You might be able to overpower many of the greatest with training , little one !" said Mark

Bernard was left speechless with what he had just heard . He had a burning desire to go back to Varice to show all those people who used to underestimate him to show what he was! But it was not the time he thought.

"Do you my think my sister is the same ? " Bernard asked

" I can't say anything about her until i see her use her gifts ." replied Mark

"Now it is time for me to show you to your quarter. " said Mark

Mark got up , Bernard followed soon enough and he started following Mark along the stone pavement leaving the structure behind.

"Why did you pierce me with a needle Mark" questioned Bernard

" It is a sleep causing herb Bernard , it stimulates the minds of the half breeds as the person controlling their minds wants to , basically i was the one who was simulating your mind."

Bernard now knew for sure , if he wanted to become strong he had to stick around this place and take training under Mark . Only in this way would he be able to save Audrey !
