The next morning, the sunlight streamed into the hotel room, waking Sana slowly. She stretched lazily, her mind lingering on the quiet conversation she’d had with Mina the night before. It had felt good to confide in someone, but now that it was morning, reality set back in. Her feelings for Tzuyu weren’t something she could easily ignore anymore, but they were also something she still wasn’t sure how to handle.

Sana rolled over and checked her phone. There was a message from Tzuyu, and her heart did a little flip at the sight of the younger girl’s name on her screen.

**Tzuyu:** *Morning, unnie. Can we meet later? I want to talk.*

Sana’s fingers hovered over the keyboard as she replied.

**Sana:** *Of course. I’ll see you after rehearsals?*

---

The day flew by in a blur of practice, fan meetings, and preparations for their next performance. Through it all, Sana’s mind kept drifting to Tzuyu. She was nervous about what Tzuyu wanted to talk about. Did Tzuyu have second thoughts? Were things moving too fast? Despite their promise to take things slowly, Sana couldn’t shake the growing worry in her chest.

Finally, when rehearsals ended and the rest of the members began scattering to their rooms, Sana found herself standing in the hallway outside the dance studio, waiting for Tzuyu.

The younger girl appeared a few minutes later, her face calm but unreadable. She walked up to Sana, her hands tucked into the pockets of her hoodie, and gestured for Sana to follow her.

They walked in silence for a while, heading toward the rooftop of the hotel where it was quiet. Sana could feel her nerves building, the silence between them feeling heavier with every step.

When they reached the rooftop, Tzuyu leaned against the railing, looking out at the city skyline. The breeze was cool, ruffling her hair, and Sana couldn’t help but think about how effortlessly beautiful she looked. But her thoughts were interrupted when Tzuyu finally spoke.

“Unnie, I’ve been thinking a lot,” Tzuyu began, her voice soft but steady. “About us.”

Sana’s heart thudded in her chest. “Oh? What have you been thinking?”

Tzuyu turned to face her, and for the first time, Sana noticed a flicker of hesitation in her eyes. “I meant what I said before—I’m really happy we talked and admitted our feelings. But...”

Sana’s stomach dropped. “But?”

Tzuyu sighed, her eyes meeting Sana’s with a seriousness that made Sana’s breath catch. “It’s just... I’ve been thinking about what this means for us, for the group, for everything. I don’t want to make things complicated for you, or for anyone.”

Sana swallowed the lump in her throat. “You think we’re complicating things?”

Tzuyu shook her head quickly, her expression softening. “No, not like that. I’m just worried, unnie. About what might happen if the others find out, or if it changes the way we all work together.”

Sana took a step closer, her heart pounding. “I’ve been thinking about that too. But I also don’t want to run away from how I feel. I’m... scared too, Tzuyu, but I don’t want to lose what we have.”

Tzuyu’s eyes softened, and she reached out to take Sana’s hand, their fingers intertwining like they had on the bus the night before. “I don’t want to lose it either. That’s why I want us to be careful, to take it slow like we said.”

Sana felt a wave of relief wash over her at Tzuyu’s words. “So, you don’t regret it?”

Tzuyu smiled gently, squeezing Sana’s hand. “No. I could never regret this, unnie.”

The weight that had been sitting on Sana’s chest lifted, and she let out a soft laugh, the tension easing from her body. “I was so worried you were going to say that this was a mistake.”

Tzuyu shook her head, her smile growing. “It’s not a mistake, Sana. But I think we just need to be careful for now. I don’t want to rush into anything and risk hurting anyone—not you, not me, not the group.”

Sana nodded, her heart feeling lighter now. “You’re right. We’ll figure this out, together.”

Tzuyu’s smile widened, and she leaned in slightly, their faces inches apart. There was a quiet, magnetic pull between them, the kind that made Sana’s pulse quicken. For a brief moment, the world seemed to slow down, and all Sana could focus on was Tzuyu’s eyes—those dark, gentle eyes that always made her feel safe.

Without thinking, Sana closed the gap, pressing her lips softly to Tzuyu’s. It was brief, a feather-light kiss, but it sent a wave of warmth rushing through Sana, leaving her breathless.

When they pulled back, Tzuyu’s cheeks were flushed, her lips slightly parted in surprise, but her expression was soft, her eyes filled with warmth.

“Sana...” Tzuyu whispered, her voice barely audible over the breeze.

“I’m sorry,” Sana breathed, her heart racing. “I just... I couldn’t help it.”

Tzuyu blinked, her lips curving into a shy smile. “You don’t have to apologize.”

Sana laughed softly, relief flooding her as she realized that Tzuyu wasn’t upset. Instead, she looked just as flustered and happy as Sana felt.

They stood there in the cool evening air, the city lights twinkling below them, and for the first time in days, Sana felt a sense of peace. They were in uncharted territory, yes, but they weren’t alone. They had each other, and that was all that mattered right now.

---

Later that night, back in their hotel rooms, Sana lay in bed with a smile on her face, her thoughts drifting back to the kiss. It had been so simple, so natural, yet it felt like a promise—an unspoken vow that whatever came next, they would face it together.

Mina, who had been scrolling through her phone on the other bed, glanced over and raised an eyebrow. “You’re in a good mood.”

Sana bit her lip, unable to suppress her smile. “Yeah... I guess I am.”

Mina smiled knowingly. “I’m glad to see it.”

As Mina went back to her phone, Sana closed her eyes, feeling a warmth settle over her. Whatever challenges lay ahead, she knew one thing for certain: she was ready to face them, as long as Tzuyu was by her side.
