The two of them shared a laugh, the sound echoing softly in the stillness of the night. The moment felt easy, natural, like they had known each other for much longer than just a few hours. Y/N felt their guard lowering in a way that was both surprising and comforting. Jimin had a way of making everything seem less complicated, like the overwhelming city and all its uncertainties could be managed, one step at a time.

"Honestly," Y/N began, their gaze drifting back to the night sky, "I thought moving here would be this big, dramatic shift. Like I'd walk off the bus and suddenly feel like a new person. But... it's not like that at all. I'm still me, just in a bigger place."

Jimin nodded thoughtfully. "I get that. When I first moved here, I had this idea that a new city meant a new beginning. And while that's true in some ways, it doesn't mean you suddenly stop being yourself. The city just gives you more space to figure out who that is."

Y/N smiled at his words, feeling the truth of them settle deep inside. "That's exactly it. I've been putting so much pressure on myself to change, but maybe it's okay to just... take it slow."

Jimin turned to face Y/N more fully, his eyes reflecting the gentle light around them. "You don't have to rush anything. Life isn't a race, even though it feels that way sometimes. You've got time to figure it all out."

A comfortable silence fell between them, broken only by the distant hum of the city and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. Y/N felt their heart calm, the weight of their worries easing with every passing moment. The uncertainty of the future didn't feel as daunting anymore, not with Jimin sitting beside them, reminding them that it was okay to not have all the answers.

After a while, Jimin stood up and stretched, his movements fluid and graceful. He extended a hand to Y/N, his smile warm and inviting. "Come on, let's keep exploring. Seoul's got a lot more to show you, and the night's still young."

Y/N took his hand, the touch sending a pleasant warmth through them. As they rose to their feet, they felt a renewed sense of energy, ready to see what else the city—and this unexpected connection—had to offer.

They wandered through the quiet streets, the glow of neon signs reflecting off the pavement as the night deepened. Jimin pointed out hidden gems as they walked—little shops, late-night food stalls, tucked-away galleries—all the places that had made Seoul feel like home to him over the years. Y/N listened with rapt attention, absorbing his stories and letting his words fill the empty spaces in their mind.

At some point, they found themselves standing in front of the Han River, the water shimmering under the city lights. It was peaceful here, the hustle and bustle of the city feeling miles away. Y/N and Jimin stood side by side, gazing out at the serene scene before them.

"It's beautiful," Y/N murmured, their voice barely audible over the soft sound of the water lapping against the shore.

"It is," Jimin agreed, his voice equally quiet. "One of my favorite places in the city. Whenever I need to clear my head, I come here. It reminds me to slow down and just... breathe."

Y/N nodded, feeling the weight of the moment settle over them. They inhaled deeply, the cool night air filling their lungs and bringing a sense of peace they hadn't realized they needed.

As they stood there, side by side, Y/N felt a quiet contentment settle into their bones. Seoul, with all its noise and chaos, no longer felt as intimidating. The city was big, yes, and full of unknowns, but it was also full of possibilities. And standing here with Jimin, Y/N felt like they were beginning to understand that they didn't have to face it all alone.

Jimin turned to them, his eyes soft and full of something Y/N couldn't quite place. "You're going to be okay here, you know that, right?"

Y/N met his gaze, their heart swelling with gratitude for this unexpected friendship—and maybe something more. "I think I'm starting to believe that," they said, a small smile tugging at their lips.

Jimin smiled back, the corners of his eyes crinkling with warmth. "Good."
