Chapter 5

FINALLY FOUND YOU

Hours after a long hunting spree, Conan got into a river. He washed up since he was covered in blood. He went out of the forest and straight to his car. Before he could get inside, the scent hit him again. A little faint this time but traceable. This time he couldn't say no to himself. He got into the car and started following it. 

The scent got stronger and stronger as he got closer. As soon as he got into closer range, he got out of the car and started running on foot to avoid bringing attention to himself. He run until he found himself outside a fence. He jumped over it and started running again following the scent. He ran until he saw a very large mansion. He stood behind a tree as soon as he noticed someone opening the main entrance. 

Walking out of the entrance was a 5'4 blonde who had the move of a very powerful woman. A boss of some sort of company, he presumed. Behind her stood some other girl who smelled familiar but the person who got most of his attention was the blonde. He studied her physic till he was distracted. His gaze broke as soon as he noticed her look his direction. He dropped down to avoid her gaze. She just shrugged and got into the car.

'She seems like a busy lady... but her scent is strong. It's more human than the other girl though. Weird. Something feels extremely wrong. I'll figure it out soon. That I can do.'

He thought and sat intently. He took a peek at the number plate of the car she got in and left the place running straight to his car.

'We'll meet again. Soon.'

He thought, getting into his car and driving off.

After like 23 minutes of driving, he turned into his driveway and got out of the car. As soon as he got to the back, he changed his clothes and jumped into the pool. Coming out of the pool, one of the butlers of the house walked out with a robe.

"James."

Conan said with a smirk.

"Welcome sir. I knew you'd come."

The butler of this particular safe house was his favorite.

"Of course, you did."

He replied, put on the robe and hugged him.

"It's been a while sir. You are growing bigger and stronger."

"I missed you too James."

He said squeezing James' shoulders gently.

"How is everything?"

"In tip top shape as you like it."

"Thanks a lot."

"Of course."

"I'll be in my room."

"Alright sir."

Conan grinned lightly and walked into the house.

"James!"

Conan called out walking up the stairs.

"Yes sir?"

He replied coming out of the living room.

"Bring me my laptop. Quickly yeah?"

"Yes sir."

"Good."

He said walking up the stairs into his room.

Moments after waiting, James knocked on the door carrying Conan's Laptop.

"Come in and place it on the table."

James opened the door and walked in. He placed the laptop on the table and before he could walk away Conan stopped him while he was still in the shower.
