Chapter 11

CONAN

Looking at the time, I walked into my car and drove straight to Ricky's Mansion. Walking out of the car, I was greeted by Brianna's gaze. She stood leaning on the door frame staring at me. I got out of the car and walked up to her.

"Well hello to you too."

"What do you want Conan?"

"I came to see Ricky."

"Oh really? No arguments with mom and dad this time?"

"Oh, don't worry about them. So... where is he?"

She sighed and folded her arms.

"He's in the pool."

"Cool."
"Thanks, lil sis."

I said, patted her shoulder and passed her into the house.

Before I could go any further, I turned to look at her.

"I also came to see you by the way. I'll talk to you when am done with Ricky. And don't worry... I came on good terms."

I said and walked to the back of the house, straight to the pool side.

I saw Ricky floating in the pool so I just took my kicks off, sat at the pool side and dipped my legs in. I sat there watching him float for a few minutes before he opened his eyes and looked in my direction. We locked gazes and I smiled at him. 

He jumped from his floaty into the water and swam out of the water. He took a towel and started wiping himself as he walked towards me.

"Conan."

"Ricky."

"What brings you here?"

"Well... today is the full moon. I did say, I'll come see you to talk about my mate."

He froze and stared at me.

"Wait, you weren't joking?"

"Do I ever joke around?"

I asked and he raised a brow at me.

"Okay sure... sometimes I do. But not this time. If I was, I wouldn't be here today. You know how I despise family time."

"Whatever. What did you do though? You said that you didn't follow her scent. How did you find her?"

"Actually... she found me."

"Wait what? How?"

"Well, I was heading back from hunting, and I sensed anger. I figured that it was her so... I waited in the forest to see if my senses were right. I shifted and sat behind one of the biggest trees in the forest. Moments later, her scent hit me. I knew that she was close. I shifted back and walked up to the gate. After seeing her I jumped over the fence instead of the gate because I wanted to surprise her. I stopped her from entering the forest and we talked for a while. After that I took her home and left."

"Did you give her your number, or did you get her number?"

"Oh... no. But I know I'll find her."

"How sure are you?"

"I..."

Before I could say more, her scent hit me, and I froze.

'Mate'

'Chill Duke. We'll get to her.'

I thought and looked around the room.

"Are you okay big bro?"

"I... yeah."

I said as I came out of my Trans.

"I gatta go."

"Where?"

"I guess my mate is looking for me."

"How do you know?"

"Don't act like you don't know how we find our mates Little brother."

I said and stood.

Walking out of the mansion, Brianna was at the door again. I stopped next to her and looked at her.

"I believe you'll meet my mate soon. I want you to help her anyway you can. For that I'll be forever grateful."

"Help her with what exactly?"

"Her training."

"Why does she need training?"

"She has never shifted before remember?"

"Am... sure. Whatever. I'll help her on one condition."

"What?"

"You and Ricky never have to challenge each other."

"For what?"

"The title."

"Why would I do that? It is my birthright. He has no choice but to back down. Unless he wants me to challenge him. I will show no mercy. I will have no choice for it is the wolf law."

I said and walked past her shocked figure. I took my bag from the car, gave my car keys to one of Ricky's guards and started running towards Havelock Forest.

I carried her out of the car, straight into my room and put her on the bed. I walked into the bathroom and had the water in the tub running. I carried her and placed her in. I left her in the tub for a few minutes and changed the beddings. As soon as I was done, I went back into the bathroom and knelt next to the tub, closing the tap in the process. 

I took a sponge, soaked it in the water and rubbed some soap on it. I scrubbed her body slowly and gently as I admired the flawlessness of her skin, her beautiful face and her gorgeous body structure with curves in all the right places. Staring at her, I couldn't help but imagine kissing her small pink lips again. They were so sweet and soft. 

I couldn't stop myself from thinking about how good it would feel if I were to start caressing her neck and kissing her from the neck and go down to her collarbone and down to her...

I felt her shift in my arms in turn interrupting my thoughts. I looked at her beautiful features once more and continued the scrubbing until I was done.

Draining out the water, I dried her skin and hair, took her into the main room and placed her on the bed gently. I went into the closet, brought out my biggest t-shirt and a pair of boxers. I put them on her, placed her undercovers and walked out of the room.

Walking into one of my guest rooms, I took my laptop and played around with the CCTV cameras a bit. After a few minutes, I walked up to the bed, threw myself on it and passed out. By the time the clock hit 3 am, I was up and about thinking of how I was going to be able to train her properly with the duty that awaits us. 

Before I could do anymore thinking, I received an alarm notification and knew that Scarlett was awake. As I walked towards the room her breathing and her heartbeat got louder.

"Shit, this is driving me crazy. Can't I just bond with her and get these intense senses under control? Aah!! Duke is driving me insane."

I thought as I massaged my temples.

I walked down the corridor and opened my bedroom door.
