FULL MOON EFFECT (PART II)

Walking into the garden, Scarlett was led to the back where she and Savannah were forbidden to go at a young age. There was a door that led into a forest that only her parents, Savannah and her husband entered. She wondered what she was to do there. Her mother unlocked the door, opened it and walked in. Scarlett stood there wondering what she should do. Her mother came out.

"Are you coming?"

"I thought I'm forbidden to go there."

"My dear... I called you here. You are to follow me. Your ban is lifted. Let's go."

"Are you sure mother?"

"It's time you know. Let us go. Now before they start again."

She said and walked back through the door.

She followed suit and followed her through the forest until they reached an opening. There the moon was shining. She stopped before she could enter the opening. Her mother kept walking and reached the center of the clearing. As soon as she noticed that she did not follow suit, she turned back and stood next to her.

"What is it dear?"

"Mother... I am not supposed to be touched by the light of the full moon remember?"

"Do not worry my dear. The whole point of bringing you here was for the exposure."

"What do you mean?"

"You wanted to know the truth about yourself... walk into the moonlight with me. I would like to show you your true self."

She said and held her hand, leading her into the opening.

Taking her first step into the moonlight, Scarlett noticed that her hair began to glow and grow.

"Mom... what is this?"

"Your body is responding to nature."

"What do you mean by nature?"

She asked and her mother indicated to her hands which had started to get shorter.

"What the..."

"Hush my dear."

She said as they walked to the center of the opening.

Aurora gazed at the ground and Scarlett dropped her gaze. She was shocked as she realized that the ground consisted of a concrete floor with symbols. She looked at them closely and recognized them. They were the same symbols she had seen during her research on Wolves.

'What are these doing here?'

She thought.

"You mean these symbols?"

"Yes, these s..."

She cut herself looking at her mother asking herself how she knew her thought.

"Shocking, isn't it? You wonder how I knew your thoughts. Well, you see... that is part of who we are."

"What do you mean?"

"I know you did some research about Wolves and discovered some similarities you have with them."

"Yeah. And what is that supposed to mean? How did you know my thoughts?"

"It is how they communicate. Wolves are supernatural beings. They are not as similar to the normal wolves as they may seem. Packs are able to communicate though mind links."

"I read about that."

"Indeed, you have. Don't you wonder why all these years you were unable to deceive me and your father?"
