Those days at the hospital were the hardest for everyone. Y/N being on the tightrope of life and death made everyone panic but she was saved. She was fine and she was recovering with Bada by her side.

After Mr. Zeng caught the undercover killer dressed as a nurse, he took care of her and they reinforced security. Bada refused to let Y/N alone for days and convinced the nurses to transfer her to the same room which they eventually did once Y/N got out of the Intensive Care Unit.

Life had been hard for them. Life had been hard for Y/N and she was tired. Part of her wanted to close her eyes again and take her parent's hand. Go with them and rest. Be happy, rest, and cuddle up in her father's arms while her mother sang for her.

Another part of her was glad to take Xinwen's advice. When she opened her eyes, she wanted to see Bada and she did. Bada was the first person to be there.

That was when she realized that Bada was her happiness. She didn't need anything more than the tall girl standing before her.

Bada gave her a kiss on the forehead making all of her worries go away.

And they spent two months in the hospital together, side by side. When Bada was discharged, she spent her days in the hospital with Y/N as she took her physical therapy. She fed her, cleaned her, and loved her more than ever.

Bada was determined to show Y/N how much she loved her.

As for Howl and his father, they would get to rot in jail. Mr. Zeng sent some of his men to the prison they were in so the man would have no power in that place and if he tried anything funny... let's just say he would wish to die. He made sure he was begging for him to kill him.  But Mr. Zeng made sure he had a painful, and slow death in that place.

Regardless of it all, Y/N recovered completely with the help of Bada and her friends and when she did, she decided to go visit Howl in jail.

She sat there for a few minutes looking at him as if life was flashing before her eyes and wiped the tear from her eye. Only one.

"You know... when you and Xinwen started dating I was the happiest girl. I wanted to be a maid of honor, an auntie to your kids, and a great family friend. Then, I realized I could never have a normal life so I started falling off to let you guys live happily. It was never my intention to hurt you or her," Y/N said not looking at him in the eyes.

"It's not your fault. I talked to my father. Xinwen told me she was going to run away with you that day. She was in love with you. She wanted to leave me and I felt devastated. I loved her so much and my father saw that. He tried to protect me the wrong way so... I don't blame you for anything. You made her happier than I ever could," his voice sounded sincere.

"Also, I am so sorry for hurting you and Bada. You are all she needs and I will never forgive myself for ever letting my dad wrap me around his finger just to hurt people I love. Only for his approval... I am an idiot and I understand if you never want to see me again or see me close to Bada," he added.

"You got that right. I have forgiven you. Bada's fine. I am fine so there is no point in keeping this grudge. It will only bring more pain to us. As for Bada, she told me she does not want to see you. You hurt her a lot, Howl. You took away six months of her life," Y/N said. She collected her things and stood up to walk away.

"I am sorry about Xinwen. I didn't know how she felt about me and it was never my intention to hurt any of you. But Bada... I am not sorry about that one bit. I chose her and she chose me and I'd go through all of this again if that meant I could protect her and keep her alive. Have a good life Howl," she said before walking out of the room and into her car.

She broke down. Howl used to be a great friend. He was the only good man in her life besides her uncle and now all changed. Turned from friends to enemies, to now total strangers.

It pained her how much things have changed and how much she has lost. Then she felt a warm pair of arms wrap around her and it all disappeared. It became clear to her how much she had gained and how long of a journey she had ahead.

Bada took hold of her face, wiped her tears away, and softly kissed her lips.

"Let's go home, love,"

Home. She could finally build a home with her love. A safe space where she could find true happiness in a family. She could run her business in peace and live a long life like she always wanted to.

In the spotlight with her the love of her life.

Okay, Honnies. This is the last chapter as promised. It's a bit shorter but I hope you guys like it.
