When Wei Ying finally regained consciousness, he was no longer the same. He felt different-stronger, more aware of the world around him. The weight of mortality had lifted, replaced by a strange sense of freedom.

He opened his eyes to find Xiao Xingchen and Boa Shan Sanren watching over him. The concern on Xiao Xingchen's face was palpable, while Boa Shan Sanren's expression was one of quiet satisfaction.

"How do you feel?" Xiao Xingchen asked, his voice soft.

Wei Ying slowly sat up, flexing his fingers as he tested the limits of his new strength. He felt...invincible.
