Chapter 10: The Heir of Boa Shan Sanren

The journey through the misty valleys and hidden paths felt like a dream. Xiao Xingchen led Wei Ying deeper into the mountains, where the resentment faded, and the air became clearer, almost refreshing. The oppressive weight that had surrounded Wei Ying for so long seemed to lift, though a part of him missed its familiarity.

Soon, they arrived at a secluded, serene mountain, untouched by the turmoil of the world. A sense of peace washed over Wei Ying as they neared the hidden sanctuary where Boa Shan Sanren resided.

Xiao Xingchen led him through a narrow path, and suddenly, they passed through an invisible barrier. Beyond it, the world felt different—calmer, as though time itself had slowed.

At the center of this tranquil space was a small, modest courtyard. Standing in the middle of the courtyard was a woman—Boa Shan Sanren. She exuded an aura of ancient wisdom, her presence commanding yet gentle.

The moment Boa Shan Sanren laid eyes on Wei Ying, something flickered in her gaze—recognition.

“Master,” Xiao Xingchen spoke, bowing deeply. “This is Wei Ying. I found him at the Burial Mounds.”

Boa Shan Sanren approached, her eyes never leaving Wei Ying’s “So...you’ve finally come back.”

Wei Ying frowned, confused by her words. “You...know me?”

Boa Shan Sanren smiled faintly, her expression both knowing and sad. “You are my grandson.”
