No picture for you today. I just don't feel like it. Anyway, this past week has been rather chaotic, hence why I haven't updated for about the whole week now. I talked with my sibling, and they said, "Hey! For a filler while you wait for things to die down a bit, why not a question-and-answer chapter?" And I was like, "Well, who am I going to get questions from?" And then they were like, "Me, of course." And in the end, I decided that yes, I will do a question-and-answer chapter for a filler. And they were very happy. So, here's the QNA chapter that literally no one except my sibling asked for.
Q: Do all the Spiders have codenames?
Yes, all of the Spiders have codenames. So far, its: Chrollo = Goliath, Kurapika = Black Widow, Hisoka = Trapdoor, Illumi = Orbweaver, and Kalluto = Purpurea. The other Spiders will be referred to as their codenames in later chapters when they make a bit more appearances in the story.
Q: Why did Illumi adopt Scarfy?
I like to believe that he adopted Scarfy because he missed Mike and Scarfy was another animal to keep him company, but to be honest I don't even really know why he did that, and I'm the one who came up with the plot
Q: How come Leorio died so quickly?
Leorio- mmm, Leorio died quickly because of plot, and I really just didn't know how to make a good fight scene cut to accusations and then the dramatic reveal of Black Widow and- yeah. That's- that's really why he died so quickly. I might've drawn out his appearance a little bit longer because looking back at the chapter, he had literally no dialogue, or at least dialogue worth mentioning, and he barely interacted with the main characters for the plot, but again, I just wanted to get that over with as quickly as possible.
Q: Are Silva and Kikyo going to die?
Well, probably one of them but most likely not both of them, because I have a different story in which both of them die and it's pretty darn dramatic. But no spoilers because I might make a small story on that AU if I need something to write on here.
Q: Will Lallumi be important to the storyline?
Yes. She's my creation, and she's had a longer appearance with the main characters than other people -cough- Leorio -cough-. Also, I did some wonderful foreshadowing- well- not foreshadowing really because I gave away the fact that the cinnamon roll is going to have... say it with me now, T-R-A-U-M-A, trauma! But to say it simply, yes, she's going to be important to the storyline. She might even get her own spinoff story if I have enough motivation and ideas for that.
Q: How did Kurapika end up as Black Widow? Does he have a good relationship with Chrollo?
How did he end up as Black Widow? Well, to shorten the whole thing, blondie finds -him- injured and for some insane and stupid reason he decides not to kill him to get more information because he hasn't learned his lesson from last time. Cuckoo here decides to play it cool when as he gets better. He escapes. Blondie gets played the Uno Reverse card and Cuckoo decides to repay the favor. Some weird accident occurs, Blondie gets new abilities and for -some reason- decides to join Cuckoo. Over time he actually gets accustomed to his new life and is actually devoted to Cuckoo. Blah blah blah, I might make -another- spinoff explaining how this came to be, MAYBE. Don't hold your breath. So yes, he does have a good relationship with Chrollo.
Q: Aside from Illumi and Hisoka, are there going to be other significant parings?
Mmm, probably not. I might make platonic Black-Goliath just because they're pretty close in this story, but then again, I might not. I mean- Widow is two years younger than Illumi, making him in his twenties, and four years younger than Chrollo just because I wanted him to be older, so- mmmmaybe? But probably not. No, not that I can think of aside from platonic Black-Goliath. So- no.
Q: Is Illumi going to go back to Kukuroo Mountain?
Well now, if one of his parents is going to -probably- die, then where else would he -potentially- kill them if he actually is going to stabby stab? Or- poke poke (With his needles)?
Q: Is Voice going to get an actual name later on?
Her name was actually mentioned earlier in the chapters, so you'll most likely be able to put two and two together if you look back. But yes, Voice will officially get an actual name later on.
Q: Are you ever going to make more 'Character Shorts'?
Ah, uhm, if I redo the little profiles that I already have, yes. Though Chrollo and Hisoka are probably going to be the only ones to have a profile for a while.
Q: You foreshadowed Lallumi going through something dark, is Anafela going to die?
Oh yes, character trauma. Ever writer's favorite thing to add into their stories. Either the main character is parentless, abused, bullied, neglected, given away, has some powers that makes them an outcast, etc. Lallumi, of course, is no exception! So, maybe Anafela will die, or maybe she won't and Lallumi goes through another set of trauma, who knows? Because not even I know what my foreshadowing means and I'm the darn author.
Q: On Chrollo's CS, you said something about magician twins, will Hisoka have siblings in this story?
You caught that? Oh, who am I kidding? Of course you did. Well, if I say, 'magician twins', the name is pretty self-explanatory, isn't it? Now, the 'twin' isn't actually his twin because Hisoka is older, but they still call the duo the magician twins because -insert name- looks up to Hisoka. He will have multiple siblings, but I am not saying how many.
Q: When does this story diverge from the canon plot?
Well, depends on the character. Each character diverges from the canon plot at a different time except for Chrollo and Kurapika, in which they diverge at the same time. I'd say Chrollo and Kurapika diverge a little before Uvogin's canon death, because Kurapika manages to catch Chrollo a little before the time they capture Uvogin which results in the small summary I already explained. Hisoka diverges from the plot during the Chimera Ant Arc, as he actually has a role in that arc, he just never encounters Gon or Killua during that time. Illumi diverges essentially even before the manga or anime takes place, as seen in Kalluto's flashbacks in the 'I'm Sorry Dear Brother' chapter.
