Six times. Six times Hisoka had called him in the span of ten minutes to ask him if he needed anything from anywhere, anything at all, at seven in the morning before he had eaten his breakfast and had his coffee. He was tempted to ask him for a return policy for overly worrying new fathers, but then decided against it.
"Ma." Lallumi tugged at his sleeve, tiny doll in hand as she did so.
"Yes, Lallu?" He asked, bending down a bit.
"Want da."
"He'll be back in a little bit."
Lallumi tilted her head, wide eyes narrowing the slightest of bits as she tugged on his sleeve a bit more forcefully.
"Want da. Auntie mean."
Illumi let tout a soft sigh as he heard Edasi snicker from somewhere behind him. The little menace. He then picked Lallumi up and set her down on the counter, giving her some dry cereals because honestly, dry cereals taste good.
"Ignore auntie, she's just being a bit of a..."
"Cancre?"
He heard the clear thump of Edasi hitting the floor as she doubled over with laughter. Thankfully, Lallumi had picked up on her father's much more appropriate words which he spoke in his apparent native language. What the language was? He had no idea. He would ask the magician later. He just knew that 'cancre' meant dunce, another way of saying idiot.
"Yes... a cancre. Anyway, do you need anything from the store?"
The little girl thought for a moment before shaking her head.
"No, twins need toys."
Ah, the twins. Why would they need something from the store? As if being able to gather this from his expression, Lallumi explained.
"Like plushies. Need more plushies."
Illumi gave her a slow nod, understanding what she meant.
"Alright I'll-"
Chime!
It was another darn message, but at least it wasn't a call. However, it still irritated him immensely. He would get the twins some toys once Hisoka got back. Still, he couldn't enjoy his cereals since he was so irritated. Ah... the things that happen when you're just trying to eat some cereals.
Sneak Peak
Hisoka let out a string of curses in French as he stared down at the crimson mess he made out of the herd of deer. He nearly took it out on Illumi, and then he would've been found out. Not only would he have been found out, but he ran the possibility of harming Illumi as well. He sighed, running a hand over his face as exhaustion washed over him. It was strange how these bursts always seemed to completely deplete him of energy, and frankly he wasn't hungry for some deer right now. As much as he hated to admit it, if this kept happening it would spiral out of control. He needed to go back home, he needed his siblings, he needed... damn it. He needed her. It would be a pain to go all the way back home, but if anyone knew how to deal with these kinds of things, it was most definitely his older sister. He just hoped that their bond was still intact. After all, he did kind of die and come back to life as a... hybrid of sorts. He headed over to the nearest puddle of water and stared into his reflection as he opened up his eyes, an emerald and golden gaze staring back at him. He flicked out his forked tongue, showing the tips of his sharpened teeth. Yes, he hated how he wasn't completely human anymore and he probably always would. But having some reptilian traits definitely came with some perks, he just hoped Niku wouldn't try to take a bite out of him first.
