"We got somebody on us." Topper says
Sarah turns, "That's JJ and Estrella."

Estrella looks behind them, "Jay!"
"I know. I know." He says. He revs his engine and speeds up to ride alongside Topper's truck

"What is he doing?" Topper yells
"I don't know." Kie says
Estrella and JJ turn to the others sitting in the back. Pope's eyes widen, "What are you doing?"
"Top, keep going straight." JJ yells
"Y'all be careful. All right?" Pope says leaning on the edge
"Topper, hold it steady." Sarah yells
"I'm trying."
JJ turns toward Estrella, "Get ready to jump."
"What?" She exclaims
"What?" Pope yells
"I'm not leaving you. Have you lost your mind?" Estrella says
"Probably! Get ready to jump." He says
"Come on. Come on." Pope says holding his hands out as JJ gets closer to the truck, "I've got you. I've got you. Come on."
Estrella groans knowing she didn't have much of a choice. She stands up slowly steadying herself by putting her hands on JJ's shoulders.
Kie leans out of the window, "Estrella, what are you doing?"
Estrella stands up and place her foot on the truck. Pope grabs her hand, "Easy, easy now. Be careful."
She jumps forward slightly while Pope pulls her in. She lands on top of the box holding the cross. Pope keeps his hands on her until she sits upright, "You okay?"
"Yeah." She says while Charlotte holds her hand. She slides down and sits fully in the trunk beside Pope.
Estrella turns when she hears tires screeching. Her heart speeds up when she realizes JJ had stopped and turned toward the cops following them.
"What's he gonna do?" Cleo says
"I don't know. I don't think he knows either." Pope says as JJ leans over and grabs a rock
"He's trying to get killed." Charlotte breathes
"JJ!" Estrella yells as they get further and further away from him. She assumed he hadn't heard her, but he did. JJ shut his eyes for a second knowing if he thought about her any longer he would turn around.
He takes a deep breath before opening his eyes, "Let's dance."
The teens hear his engine rev before he takes off toward the cops. As soon as JJ got close enough, he throws the rock at the windshield and shatters it. The cop slams on the breaks and makes a u-turn.
