I S A I A H

"So, let me get this straight." I narrowed my eyes at my father. The man is really getting old and it's starting to show. His black hair is now salt and pepper. His beard grew and was white as snow. His muscles are still noticeable but based on the wrinkles on his face and his tired eyes, you can tell that the man is no younger than fifty. "You brought me here just to tell me to keep an eye on her? Do I look like an errand boy to you?"

My father's eyes darken and he scowls. "Watch your mouth boy. This isn't a debate. You will watch her with your life and if I find out that you're trying to fuck this up, I will kill you myself."

He tries to scare me but he knows it will never work. I don't have a fearful bone in my body and no man can make me cower away, not even the devil himself. "I'm not participating in this dumb shit." I scoffed. "I did my job. I watched her for seven fucking days and she did nothing but irritate my damn soul. Why do I have to continue watching her if she's going to be in a house full of guards? I have better shit to do." I growled at my father who was smoking a cigar. He blew the smoke in my face and I swatted it away.

"Because I asked you to. That girl is important to this family and you are the only one I trust to protect her."

There it goes again. She's important. How?

Damon chooses this time to put in his two cents. "Lighten up brother. I would help you but I have a few ladies to attend to myself, if you know what I mean." He winks and he slaps my shoulder.

I shoved him away from me. "Look at my face." I pointed to myself. "Tell me if I give a flying fuck."

"You're being childish." He says with a frown and I chuckled.

"Let me be childish then."

"Silenzio! You will continue to be the Ivana girl's bodyguard. No ifs ands or buts about it. Understood?" Father says, pursing his lips.

I scoffed and took a sip from my drink, not saying another word. There's no point in arguing with a man like Kenvy Milan. He will never hear you out and his word is always final. There are no arguments.

I sighs and leaned back in his seat. "Whatever." I say , gritting his teeth.

"Good. Now I need you to do something for me." He says as he pulls out a document.
