Zariah's eyes were wide and I recognized this look from the time she stormed into my fathers office. She was pissed.
"Okay, Damon. I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I really wasn't trying to tell anyone. It was an us thing. I didn't even know if it was real or not." She says with a hint of sarcasm.
I scowled at her. "It was real, you know that."
"How was I supposed to know that if you were so hot and cold with me? You never voiced your feelings, Isaiah. Not until it was too fucking late!" She cried. Fresh tears were roaming down her face now and I felt bad about it.
"I didn't have a chance to! You were marrying my fucking brother and it was too much happening at once! Do you know how crazy this sounds?" I argued.
"Crazy?" She scoffed. "You want to know crazy," she holds her arms out for everyone to see the face of the man that raised her. She starts to sob while looking me dead in the eye. "This, is crazy. This fucking family, is crazy. This whole entire ordeal, is fucking CRAZY!" Shescreamed. "Look at him! Look!" She yells at us. "I'm holding my dead father's head in my hands and y'all want to talk about crazy? Fuck all of you!"
She was losing her sanity. I can see it in her eyes.
Kenvy broke out into laughter behind us and I took a deep, deep breath to calm down. I was starting to see red and I don't want to make this evening any more worse than it already is. "This is so fucking pathetic!"
"Father.." Damon says in disgust as he looked at Kenvy. "How can you be laughing at a time like this?"
"Because it's fucking funny!"
"There's nothing funny about this." I said, stepping towards him to grab his collar. "You think this is some fucking joke to you? What was the point of all of this?"
"I told you-"
"To teach me a lesson right?" I raised a brow. "Why do it now? You wanted this wedding to happen more than anyone but you're the one who's causing all this mayhem."
"Well to be fair, I had planned on the package to show up after the wedding, not before. But, it already happened so."
