Time seemed to stand still as Rudraksh kissed Siya, his teeth biting down on her bottom lip to make her gasp. He slid his tongue inside her mouth with practised ease, teasing her tongue. Siya applied pressure on his chest to push him away but he grabbed her wrists and twisted them behind her back, kissing her passionately.
It was after a minute, or maybe hours, or maybe several days, that they broke apart. Siya panted heavily, deprived of oxygen from the intense kissing session. She looked at him and he smirked at her.
"May I know what's happening here?" came Abhinav's voice, breaking them out of their staring session.
Siya looked away and pushed him away from her. But Rudraksh didn't let go of her hand.
"It's nothing," Siya gulped, avoiding eye-contact with Rudraksh.
"You're Mr. Mehra's daughter, right?" Abhinav asked, frowning. "Because as far as I knew, she wasn't seeing anyone at the mo—"
Before he could finish his sentence, Rudraksh pointed his gun at him. His sudden action erupted a chaos in the restaurant, as everyone screamed and leapt up to their feet. Abhinav's eyes widened and he took a step back. Rudraksh remained utterly unfazed.
"What are you—"
He pressed a finger on her lips, effectively silencing her.
He turned his head slowly to look at Abhinav, smirking.
"Would you mind not disturbing me when I'm speaking with my wife?"
It was as if all the air had left her body. She stiffened under his touch, her heart thumping rapidly against her ribs.
"Wife?" Abhinav asked, confused.
"Yes, my wife," Rudraksh emphasized on the last bit. "She was mad at me for some reason and decided to come on this date to piss me off. Isn't that right, sweetheart?"
He turned his head to look at her, asking sweetly. Siya glared at him.
"Who the fuck do you think you're?" Siya screamed, hitting his chest.
"Your husband?" Rudraksh replied, feigning innocence.
"You're not—"
"Hang on, I'm not getting what's happening here," Abhinav's voice cut us off. He looked visibly confused. Siya looked away from Rudraksh, opening her mouth to explain to him—but she never got that chance.
Because before she could say anything, Rudraksh had again pointed his gun and Abhinav and before anyone could react, he had fired. Twice.
Siya screamed, and covered her ears, as people started to run, desperate to save their lives. Abhinav's body fell back in slow motion, until he hit the floor, his head bouncing off of the groud, his forehead having a hole in it through which blood gushed out.
Rudraksh blew on the head of his gun and put it back inside his pocket.
"Jab do bade baat kar rahe ho," he uttered calmly, staring at the dead body "tab anchahe logo ko bich mein...nahi bolna chahiye. Unhe chup karwana, ata hain mujhe".
[When two elders are speaking, then unwanted people shouldn't interfere. I know how to silence them]
There was a dead silence.
Siya was staring at Abhinav's dead body, her breathing shallow and uneven.
This couldn't be real, it just couldn't —
"Now, where were we, sweetheart?"
She slowly looked at his face, which was utterly unfazed and casual.
Her hands were shaking, not from fear, but from anger.
"Who. Are. You?" Siya managed to say through gritted teeth.
He smirked.
"What do you think, love?" he whispered, stepping over Abhinav's body, coming closer to her.
"I'm the father of your son, and you're mine," he muttered.
"No," she jabbed his chest. "You're a bloody murderer."
His face hardened, eyes darkening.
"Oh, yeah?" he sneered. "So, what? I'm doing what needs to be done".
She opened my mouth furiously.
"What needs to be done?" Siya yelled. "You're killing people left and right as if they're nothing but bloody pests! Why?!"
"Because of you!" he shouted back.
"Because of me?" Siya screamed, hitting his chest. "You think you can have me like this? I'm not an object, you asshole."
He clenched his jaw, glaring daggers at her.
He took a step forward but Siya held up a hand to stop him in his tracks.
"This is my last and final warning," Siya breathed, "if I ever find you near me and my son again, I'll make your life a living hell! You get it?"
He froze in his place, staring at her. Maybe her audacity to threaten him had shocked him to be temporarily speechless.
She turned away from him, deliberately not looking at the body on the floor, and walked away from him, for the second time. Ironically, there was another dead body this time. Why is it that everytime they met a person got killed?
The first time, it was okay, he was a pervert. But this time.
Siya shook her head, her hands shaking.
Would she be able to escape him?
Or will he find another way to torment her?
