It was almost midnight by the time Siya returned from her 36 hour shift at the hospital. She made a bee-line for the bathroom, threw her dirty scrubs on the couch and took an hour long bath. Yuvaan was yet to come back from his friend's house another hour, so she had quite a bit of time in her hand.

Patting her hair dry with a soft towel, and wrapping herself in a white bathrobe, she sighed. It had been a really, really long day.

She plopped down onto the couch, stretching her arms and cracking her fingers.

She had to assist in a seventeen hour surgery today. Not that she was complaining, no, she was really grateful that she could be a part of such big thing, and learnt so much. She was a but exhausted and was glad that Yuvaan was not around. Don't get her wrong, she loves her son more she loves anything else in the word, but sometimes being at the hospital for a prolonged period of time only to come back home to be around an overly energetic toddler was not something very relaxing.

She thought of ordering take out as she really didn't wanna cook that night. She didn't think her fingers would help either, seeing that they felt like noodles right now.

She picked up her phone and was just about to unlock it when the tranquility of the night was cut short by the sharp ringing of her doorbell.

Siya almost dropped her phone in shock. Placing a hand over her rapidly beating heart, she glanced over at the clock.

Seven thirty. Still more than half an hour left till Yuvaan came back.

Who could it be?

Siya got up slowly, clutching her phone tightly in her hand. She peeped through the key-hole to see that a man holding a package was standing at the door.
She couldn't see his face properly as he was wearing a black mask and had a cap on.

Without opening the door right away, she decided to enquiry the guy. Because, here's the thing— she had not ordered anything.

Could be that the guy was here by mistake, but what if he wasn't?

"What is it?" Siya asked from inside the door.

"I'm here to deliver your food package, ma'am," answered the delivery guy.

"I have not ordered anything. You've the wrong address", she clarified. However, the guy's eyes went wide in surprise.

"Not ordered anything? No, it's clearly your address, ma'am" he said and then further went on to read her the address.

Siya felt her stomach drop. It was her address.

But she had not ordered anything.

"It's your dinner, ma'am" he said "I'm gonna leave it here for you. Do take it," he added, before backing off.

Do take it.

Why would a delivery guy be so adamant on her taking it?

She finally opened the door, only halfway.

"And the bill?" Siya called after the disappearing figure. But he was already gone.

Sighing, she looked down at the food package.

Who in the world could have sent it?

Hesitantly, she picked the package up and brought it inside.

She looked it over. It was definitely her food package, that too from her favourite Chinese restaurant.

Her mind felt numb. She dropped the package on the table as her fingers began to shake, not being able to understand what was happening.

She decided to throw it away. No way was she going to consume something which came from God knows whom.

She grabbed the package and moved towards the trashcan. Just as she was about to throw it in, her phone rang.

Startled, she picked the phone up.

"Now, don't throw that package away, sweetheart," came a deep voice from the other side "I sent it with a lot of love".

"Who...are you?" Siya asked, confused yet realisation was starting to draw in. She looked around herself.

"Tsk. You forgot me that quickly? We just spoke the other day. I'm a bit hurt", he said in mock disappointment.

"How do you know I was about to throw it away?"

"I always know what you are doing, love. As I said the other day, I'm watching you".

The memories of the day before yesterday started to flood in. Siya felt dizzy, as she remembered that anonymous phone call.

So that means...

"You look really good in that bathrobe, darling. With your hair all wet, it makes me go crazy".

Siya gripped the end of the counter, feeling it hard to breathe.

"Are you the one who sent me that package?" she asked, her voice a mere whisper.

A low chuckle was heard from the other side.

"That's what I just said. You are forgetful,  it seems. Well, not that I wasn't aware of it".

"What do you want, why do you keep calling me?" Siya demanded. "Is it money?"

"Money?" he sneered, "I don't need money from you".

"Then what is it that you want? Say it and stop stalking me!"

The other end was quiet for a moment, so long that Siya started to believe that he had hung up.

"Can you give me what I want?"

"Just so you will stop this disgusting thing, yes," Siya said confidently, knowing it was wrong to promise that before hearing his desire.

It was quiet for some more time before he finally spoke again.

"I want you".

The line went dead.
