Chapter 14

In and Out

It has been a year since I joined the Magic Knights and endured the rumors that aren't true. And the more I was denying it, the more they teased me. 

I was awoken by the sun rays of the sun and I felt someone staring at me. When I opened my eyes, I was met by the sun rays from the window and a white-haired man staring at me.

"You know, if I don't know who you are, I would think that you're being creepy." I said making him chuckle. 

"Oh, yeah?"

"Yeah." I said softly then turned to him with a smile. "I love you."

He chuckles. "I love you more, Dorothy."

Yep, I give in. I just can't hold my feelings any longer. Plus, I like him, I really do. Not to mention, he's proven himself that he's worthy of my man. 

"Oh? Is that right?" I teased.

He chuckled. "If you ask me, yes." He grin. "But, we both know that I don't give a fuck of what everyone will say about us, Dorothy."

"Yeah, I know that."

"I love you, Dorothy. I love you so much." He said as he caressed my face. "And I don't care if you're a peasant or not, as long as it's you, my love."

"I love you, too, my Nozel." 

URGH! What did you do to me, Nozel?! I am so crazy for you. I thought. 

"Say, do you know what day is today?"

I tilted my head. "Did you actually think that I'd forgot?"

He had a cheeky smile as he shook his head. "Nope."

I put my hand on his face. "Happy birthday, Nozel, my love." I said.

"Thank you, Dorothy, my love." He said then kissed me.

After two hours or so, we finally decided to go down. It's now six in the evening and Nozel wondered where everyone go.

He turn to look at me and I just shrug.

"This is odd." He muttered. "Where did everyone else go?"

"Mission?" I said.

"Everyone got a mission on the same day?"

Man, I knew how dumb he was when it came to guessing clues that weren't related to any missions, but I never realized he was this dumb. I thought. 

I sigh and just lead him to that place. "Wait, I see something from there." I said going to that specific location.

"Hey, Dorothy, matti-kudasai!" 

I knew he would follow me all the way and something tells me to play with him a bit. I purposely disappeared myself in thin air making him panic.

When they turned the lights on, that's when I showed myself to him as well. I laugh at his panicked face which was replaced by a relieved face.

"Nozel, I'm ok. I'm here."

He frown and tilted his head. "What... is happening?"

I giggled then someone sang a leading Happy Birthday song to him making him chuckle as soon as he saw the cake.

Happy Birthday, Nozel!

His smile is just as wide as the crowd and then blows the candle.
