Captains

It has been twelve years since Father died—three years since they appointed me as their eldest and new Captain of the Silver Eagles. 

Together with my appointment as Captain, Vangeance and that foreigner were appointed as captains as well. I was proud of them, really... Vangeance's squad is very sufficient but the foreigner's... Well, it just describes him.

"Who's this?" Dorothy asked with her usual cheeky smile.

"This is my ride."

She tilted her head cutely. "Your ride?"

"Ahem." The boy cleared his throat getting our attention and he instantly pulled me by my waist. "My name is Finral Roulcase."

She tried to gently push him away. "Uh..."  

"Do you want to have some tea with me, beautiful?"

"Yeah, I apologize for my ride, he's kind of..." Yami sounded hesitant. "Well, like that."

I excused myself from the nobles and walked towards my girl.

No one is allowed to touch and look at her that way. I thought

I cleared my throat. "Gentlemen. My lady." I greeted them as calm as I could.

"No need to be jealous, Nozel." Yami said. "Don't worry, I'll make sure my ride will behave himself from now on." He laughs.

I glared at him and then at his ride. 

"Oh, too bad, I was going to make you the luckiest girl alive."

"Don't you have a fiancee already?" I abruptly asked.

He backed away. "My apologies, Captain Dorothy." He courtesied. "But I shall excuse myself." He even kissed her hand and she just let him.

This guy is really making me fuel. I thought.  

"You little-"

"Nozel, calm down." Dorothy stopped me.

"You just let him flirt with you and kiss your hand!"

She laughs. "There is no need to be jealous, honey. Everything will be alright and he's not my type." She puts her hand on my chest with a smile. "You are."

"Dorothy, I just wanted to make sure that you're only mine. And mine alone."

She gave me a forced smile. "You and your possessiveness again?"

"Dorothy, I-"

"The Exams of the upcoming Magic Knights are about to begin, we don't want to be missing, do we?"

I was going to say something but she was already walking away when I spotted a silver-haired girl from the distance. I walk towards her to have a closer look, only to realize that it's Noelle. My cute little sister.

"What are you doing here?" I asked coldly making her jump a little.

She turn to me in in fear. "N-Nozel nii-sama." 

Do I look that scary to her? I thought.

"Well?"

"Uh... I wanted to join the e-exam..."

"There is no need for that." I said. "I have already told you, there is no need to take the exam for you are Royalty. Your existence is no need to me as well."

She gasps as if she's about to cry. "B-But... I... I want to..."

"Like I said, there is no need and it's useless, like your existence to me." I said as I walked away.
