Secrets

Today is the day of the previous Head of the Silvas. Everyone came. Friends, families, and even the Magic Emperor himself came.

"Hello, miss." Someone called making me turn.

"Wizard King." I bow.

"No need for courtesies." He said. "I am very sorry for the loss of your Captain."

I smiled. "No big, sir. You should send your condolences to his children instead."

"Don't you want to know something about the past? Why he was murdered by that man and how did he know you?"

I tilted my head. "How did you...?" I have a frown on my face.

He laughs. "Yes, I know everything like how I knew he was going to lose his life that day."

"And yet you still sent him on that dangerous mission?" I said as I felt my blood boiling. "Do you know how hard it is to me to have someone die in my arms?"

"I know. I know, but someone has to die."

I frown. "What?"

"Yes, he has to die. He had to keep the secret of the past, he had to die in exchange for the lives of his squad." He said leaving me speechless. "He knows something about the past, including about the unknown. That's how his wife died."

I feel like my throat was stabbed by a million daggers that prevented me from speaking. "Why... Why are you telling me this?" I asked horrified.

"Because I know that you can bear everything than they can." He said. "And unlike them, they're too young but you... You are old enough to endure everything. After all, you have decided to live in this world, right?"

I look at him with a horrified eye and then at the coffin that is going to be buried. "But..."

"If you want to know the secrets, come with me and I'll reveal everything to you. Or," He whispered to my right ear making my eyes turn wide. "you can come and see me in my office." He said with his sexy voice.

What the fuck, Dorothy! I internally scolded myself.

I only nod and, for a second, I feel his hot breath on my skin and when I turn to him, he's had his back straight as he talks to Nozel.

What the fuck? Was he... flirting with me? I thought.

I look at him again and he doesn't look like someone who would want to take advantage of me but then again... I have my trust issues.

In the end, I went with him. I was so silent the whole trip and it's making me uncomfortable.

"So..." I break the awkward silence between us making him turn to me in confusion. "Where are we going?" I asked awkwardly.

"To the library."

"Huh?"

I am so confused now. I thought he was going to tell me about the secrets of the past, he didn't tell me anything about tutoring me. I thought in confusion.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything that you wouldn't like, I promise." He reassured. "Besides, I am taking you there because I trust you not to tell anyone but the future Wizard Kings." He explained.

"Still doesn't explain anything."

He laughs. "Don't worry, it will."

When we got the this library, I was star-struck when I saw on how big this was. This could be the library that every secret has. Maybe books of secrets?

"What is this place?" I asked silently.

"This is the place where secrets are sealed for safety purposes." He said. "Follow me."

He led me to an aisle where books were chained and he took one.

"Woah..."

He glances at me. "You know this book?"

I nod. "Yeah, Mother used to tell me that story before I go to bed."

"Except this isn't just a bedtime story." He said and I followed him to a table. "I assumed you know about the curses? Black Witches? Demons? And other unknown things?"

I nod. "Yes."

"Good. Black Witches are the opposite of you, right?"

I nod once again. "Yeah...?"

"While we human mages had our hatred that we endured for years. Unlike the Black Witches, they only love one man while you may love multiple men, right?"

"What's your point."

I don't know why but I'm starting to think that he's mocking me. I thought.

"My point is that I want you to know the every possible thing that might happen to you in the future."

"I'm not following." I said.

"Dorothy, you are one of the hopes of the future. You will be one of the people who will save and create a new future for them." He said. "Together, Dorothy, we can make a new future."

If he isn't the Wizard King, I'd assume he's a crazy guy who had a crazy dream. And since he's the Wizard King, I think he's being creepy of how close he is to me, right now. I mean, what the fuck, old man! Personal space! I thought.

"Yeah." I smiled with an awkward nod as I backed away a little. "But don't you think, that's a little too much?"

"Yes! Atta girl!" She said as if I were his daughter. "I knew you would understand!"

He just told me his dreams for the future of the Clover Kingdom and that's to get rid of it and then make a new Kingdom. And do I agree with that? Hell no. No, I don't agree with any of it. He's only learning these things for himself not for the future of this Kingdom. No. I thought.

"Um... Yeah..." I tried to back away. "But... Ooh! I remember that I have to be there for them... You know, the Silva siblings...? Hahaha... Yes, I... I have to go now... Bye..." I said then awkwardly walks away.

I look around to check if someone is around and there is none. I simply floated myself and went to the Silver Eagle's base.

I know I'm not really supposed to use Black Magic but I feel like I have to just to get there as soon as possible. I thought when I spotted a white-haired girl running for her life.

"Wait, is that..." I stopped to take a closer look only to realized who that girl is. "Nebra... What are you doing here?" I said to myself and decided to go back to the base.

When I got to my room, I was met by a cold aura owned by a man sitting on my chair with his arms crossed making me shriek.

"Where were you?"

I gasp at the sight of him. "Nozel..." I approached him. "Oh, God. Have you been drinking?"

"I asked you a question." He said standing up. "Where the hell were you?"

"I just went out for some air." I said backing away until I was pinned on the wall. "Nozel..."

He was so close that I could smell his alcohol through his breaths. "I... I was so worried about you." He said then leaned in. "I thought I was going to lose you the way I lost my Father..."

Yep, he's drunk. I thought.

I smiled. "It's ok now... I'm here now, ok? I'm here, I will never leave you, Nozel."

"I love you..." He hugs me.

I smiled. "I love you too." I hug him back.

He's crying. I thought.
