JUST ONE MORE CHANCE

chapter 13

BECKY'S POV

I have been home for over an hour but it still doesn't feel real. It all feels like a dream. The date. The proposal. The way my heart practically leaped out of my chest when she got down on her knee. I'm still wearing the same dress, sitting on my bed with my legs curled under me, staring down at the ring on my finger as if I'm scared that it will disappear at any moment.

My mind kept replaying the evening over and over again. I hadn't seen it coming, not at all. It was our first date, for God's sake. I thought it was just a simple dinner but then, after dinner, all these happened. I couldn't contain my joy and excitement that time. After all these years, finally the day came when she proposed me. She made all these happen. She is brave enough to do all these.

When I was lost in my thoughts, I felt my phone vibrate. It's a text from Freen.

My Freeny: I got home a few minutes ago and got freshen up. I'm ready for bed but I miss you already.

Becky: Awwww don't be sad baby. I miss you too. We will get to see each other tomorrow right?

My Freeny: I know I know and I can't wait to see you. Btw are you ready for bed already?

Becky: Not yet.

My Freeny: Why?? It's almost midnight. You should sleep on time. So please go get freshen up and then text me okay?

Becky: Okay boss. Give me 10 mins. I'll be back soon.

Then I got up, changed my clothes and did my night routine quickly. After that I got on my bed, ready to text my baby again.

Becky: I'm done baby. I'm already on my bed.

My Freeny: Good girl! Now sleep well okay? You have to wake up early. I just can't wait to see you, to hold you in my arms and kiss you again. I really can't stop thinking about you. So I'll also try  to sleep, hoping to have some sweet dreams about you. See you soon my love. I love you so much. Good night <3.

Becky: I was thinking the same baby. I'm excited to see you again. But for now, sleep well and meet me in your dreams haha. Good night, Teerak. I love you more.

My Freeny: ❤️

This last emoji made me smile again.
How sweet and adorable she is! I feel so lucky. She is so caring. My sweet, cute Freen.

Next morning

I woke up earlier than usual. And the first thing I did was to check my phone. Ummm... No text yet. That means she is still sleeping. So I decided to text her.

My Freeny: Good morning my baby. I hope you had a good sleep last night. I'm so excited. I'll get to see you soon. So come early okay? I love you<3.

Just the thought of seeing her again, made me so happy.

God! I still feel like floating in the sky

Her number is saved as 'My Freeny' on my phone. But I think it's time to change it. So I changed it to 'My baby'.

Then I got up and took my diary. I wrote all my feelings and excitement from last night in it. I don't usually do this but yesterday was really special so I had to write about the best day of my life.

After that I went to the bathroom, did my morning routine and took a hot shower. And got ready for university quickly. Then I checked my phone to see if there is any text from Freen. And yes there is 2 messages from her.

My Baby: Good morning my love. Yes, I slept well last night and hope you did too. And I'm also very excited to see you :) I too love you<3.

My Baby: Love, I was thinking if we could go to the university together.

So she wants to go together. That's a very good idea.

Becky:  I will love to go with you baby.

My Baby: Okay. I'll be there to pick you up soon. Bye!

Becky: Okay. I'll wait for you :)

Then I went downstairs to have my breakfast. And saw Richie is already there at the breakfast table.

"Good morning Richie. Where is mom and dad." I greeted him.

"Good morning sissy. Mom is in the kitchen and dad already went to office." He replied, sipping on his tea. "Btw how was your date? Seems like you are still on clouds."

"Yes. It was great." I said proudly, showing him my ring.

"What!? Ring!? Are you getting married already??" He seemed so shocked.

"Shut up Richie. She just asked me to be her girlfriend."

"Ooooooo I seeeee. Good good." He said in a teasing tone. "Thank God she did it. Otherwise you would have taken your whole life to ask her out."

I stuck my tongue out at him and he started laughing. He is very annoying. Just then mom came out of the kitchen and joined us.

"What are you guys doing?" Mom asked, serving us the food.

"Nothing mom. We are just talking." I replied. "Btw Freen will pick me up today."

"Oh! That's good. Now finish your breakfast." Mom said. And Richie gave me a teasing look. But I ignored him and continued eating.

After some time, Freen called me saying she is in front of our house. So I said goodbye to mom and Richie and came out of the house.

And there she is, leaning against her car and smiling at me. I quickly ran to her and  hugged her tightly.

"I missed you." I said, buring my face in her neck.

"I missed you too." She said giving me a kiss on my head. "Okay. Let's go. Otherwise we will be late." She added, breaking our hug and I nodded.

She opened the door for me and I got in. Then she went to her driving seat. She started the car and drove off.

All the way she was holding my hand and kissed it every time she had the chance to. I kept smiling. It feels like  I'm living in a dreamland, a dream life with my Freen. And if it's really a dream, then I never want to wake up.
