JUST ONE MORE CHANCE

chapter 10

BECKY'S POV

One day has passed after that movie night but I can't stop thinking about it. And Freen.... She didn't text or call me after that night. She didn't talk to me yesterday at school that much either. She seemed to be a little lost in her thoughts.

And I'm over thinking all of it. What is she always thinking? Is she mad at me or something? But she didn't seem to be mad that night. Instead, she tried to comfort me when I was crying. And I felt so cared for when she wrapped her arms around me. It was the best feeling I have ever experienced.

But I have been noticing for the last few days that she is acting a little weird sometimes- like spacing out all the time and she seems to be so nervous sometimes. Especially around me. But why?

God knows what she is thinking!!!

Anyways, I need to go to university. So I just sighed and quickly got ready. Then I went downstairs, had my breakfast and left for university. I can drive now so I don't need to be dependent on any to go anywhere.

After some time I reached there and I was walking down the corridor to my class room, I saw Freen standing there, keeping her right hand behind her back. It's like she is hiding something. So I directly walked towards her.

"Freen? What are you doing here?" I asked her, looking at her confusedly.

"H-hi Becbec! I was just waiting for you." She said smiling nervously.

"Oh! But why?"I asked

"Nothing. I just wanted to give you something." She said and held out her right hand giving me a Red Rose and a chocolate. And I stood there confusedly.

Huh? Today is not my birthday or something. So why is she giving me all these?

"Thank you Freen. But is there any special occasion for giving me this?" I asked her.

"Yes, there is something special but I'll tell you later. Now let's go to the classroom" She said then looked at my hands.

"C-can I hold your hand?" She asked nervously. So instead of replying to her question, I streched out my hand for her to hold it. Then we started walking towards the classroom, hand in hand.

God! Her hand is sooooo soft. I wish I could hold her hand forever. It fits with my hand perfectly.

When we entered our classroom, everyone looked at us weirdly. But Freen didn't seem to be bothered. So we just ignored them and walked to our seats and sat down. But our friends are also looking at us suspiciously.

"What's up girl?? You are walking hand in hand?" Nam said giving us a teasing smile.

"And Freen, what's with that smile on your face."said Heng.

"Seems like they are hiding something from us guys." This time said Irin.

"That's none of your business guys." Freen said and stick her tongue out at them.

"Oooowww.. something is surely going on." Said Tee. And all of them started teasing us. But Freen kept looking and smiling at me. At first, I felt a little shy but I'm so happy. And God knows what is that special occasion she was talking about. I wonder what it can be. And why is she treating me differently? Why is she so sweet to me today?

Anyways, whatever the reason is, I'm not complaining about it. Instead, I feel so happy and special.

The whole day Freen was so clingy. Like always hold my hand, smiling at me, cracking some jokes to make me laugh. She never did all these before but today is really special. It's the best day even. And I'm so happy. She is very sweet to me.

Time went by, and it's already time to go home. Freen and  I are going to the parking area but suddenly she stopped me and turned to face me.

"Bec, I-I want to a-ask you something." She stuttered.

"Yes Freen, what is it?" I said

"W-would you l-like to go on a d-date with m-me." She said very nervously. Her hands are shaking. So I quickly held her hands tightly.

"Date? A friendly date right?" I asked her trying to sound normal but I'm also nervous inside. She just asked me for a date??

"N-no not friendly date.... I-I mean a r-romantic date." She said looking down. Her eyes are closed. It's like she is so scared. But I'm so shocked. She asked me for a date. A romantic date?

Oh my God!!! She asked me for a romantic date? Should I scream? Should I jump?

"A romantic date!? You asked me for a romantic date!?" I said super excitedly, like I almost started jumping.

"Yes yes Freen I'll go on a date with you" I said and hugged her tightly. I wish I could kiss her right now but that will be too much.

"Thank God! I thought you would reject me. I was so scared." She sighed in relief and hugged me back. After a few seconds she parted us and said smiling widely, "Okay then, I'll pick you up at 7pm."

"Okay! I'll wait for you." I replied smiling like a crazy person.

"Okay bye Bec! See you tonight. I can't wait for our date." She said and went to her car and before getting into her car she waved at me smiling sweetly. Then she got into her car and drove off.

Then I also got into my car and started driving to my home. But I still can't believe that she asked me for a date! Is it real? Or am I dreaming? Only God knows how long I have been waiting for this day. And when this day finally came, I can't contain my joy. I'm so so excited for tonight.
