Back at home, things were far from normal. Nakul's struggles with his emotions persisted. He avoided the baby, barely looking at it as Pradyuman and Abhijeet took over most of the caretaking duties. Nakul felt an overwhelming guilt every time he looked at the child. He was supposed to feel love, but all he felt was fear and uncertainty.

The baby, however, was growing rapidly, far more quickly than any normal child. By the time three months had passed, the infant had an almost unnerving awareness of its surroundings. The child's eyes followed Nakul wherever he went, almost as if it understood things far beyond its age. It unnerved Nakul, but even more so, it began to concern Pradyuman.

The baby never cried in distress—only when it wanted something. The household staff started whispering about strange occurrences, claiming the child's presence caused lights to flicker or objects to move. Pradyuman dismissed these claims as superstition, but deep down, he knew the truth. The curse was still there, lurking beneath the surface, tied to the child.
