Riya, who had sensed something was amiss ever since Aisha was born, couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in her heart. She had tried to ignore it for Nakul's sake, but as the days went by, strange things began to happen around their daughter. She could see it in Nakul's eyes—the worry that never fully disappeared.

Aisha, though just a baby, sometimes seemed to know more than she should. There were moments when her laughter would suddenly stop, her gaze focusing on something unseen. Her little hands would twitch, and a cold shiver would pass through the room. The moments were fleeting, but they left a deep mark on Riya and Nakul, an unspoken fear that something wasn't right.

One night, Riya finally spoke her thoughts aloud. They were sitting together, Aisha asleep in her crib nearby, the house silent except for the sound of their breathing.

"Nakul," she began hesitantly, "do you ever feel... like something isn't right? Like there's something more going on with Aisha?"

Nakul froze, his fingers tightening around his glass of water. He had tried to keep those fears locked away, hidden behind his responsibilities as a father. But Riya's words brought them back to the surface. He glanced at her, his face serious.

"I've felt it too," he admitted. "There's something—something I can't explain. I thought maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me, but Aisha... she feels connected to something I don't understand."

Riya nodded, her heart heavy. She looked at their sleeping daughter, who seemed so peaceful yet so full of hidden mysteries. "Do you think it has anything to do with... the curse? The one that's been haunting your family?"

Nakul sighed deeply. He had feared this question, the one that had been hanging over their heads since the day Aisha was born. His family had always been plagued by a dark legacy—a curse that no one fully understood, yet no one could escape. It had taken lives, broken spirits, and now, it seemed to be reaching for his daughter.

"I don't know," Nakul whispered, his voice barely audible. "But whatever it is, we'll face it together. I won't let it take her."
