The penthouse was quiet. It was almost too quiet. I carefully opened my eyes and I felt Chase still beside me. I turned my head and I saw that he was curled up beside me. He had his arm around my waist and his face was slack. I turned and stared at his angelic face [Pun intended]. He seemed so much more different in sleep than when he was awake. He didn't have the reserved, icy expression that was always present. He seemed calm and peaceful. He seemed to be happier than when he was awake. I sighed and closed my eyes, trying to remember the amazing dream I had been having.

"How did you sleep?" Chase's voice was near my ear and I turned my head to see that he was looking at me curiously. He must've been awake.

"I slept alright. What about you?" I asked groggily. Chase closed his eyes again.

"Fine. But I wish I had more time to." He replied. I frowned and gently reached out to touch his jaw. I hadn't noticed before, but there were dark circles under his eyes.

"If you want, you can keep sleeping." I told him in a soft tone. He smiled, not opening his eyes.

"That would be nice, but I won't be able to sleep again any time soon." He sighed and opened his dark eyes. I frowned and bit my lip as I saw the distant sadness in his eyes. What made a guy like Chase so sad on the inside? He smiled over at me and then he sat up.

"What would you say if I told you that Chris wanted to bring you with us back to our planet?" He asked. I froze and looked at him.

"Like... Actually fly all the way to your home planet in another galazy?" I sat up and looked at Chase with wide eyes.

"Yeah. And Chris can introduce you to our Father, and he can show you the palace..." He seemed to ramble off a lot more other things that Chris could show me.

"Wait, what about you? Aren't you going to show me something?" I asked in a concerned tone. Chase looked me in the eyes and then he looked away.

"I wouldn't be able to go. I've been exiled. I can't even set foot on the planet." He told me solemnly. I bit my lip and watched the sadness return to his eyes. He missed his home. That was why he was so upset.

I frowned and closed my eyes, laying back on the pillows.

"I won't go without you." I whispered. Chase didn't reply for the longest time. He just turned his head and looked down at me. After a moment, I noted the bright light outside my window. I glanced at the time and I nearly had a heart attack. I was four hours late to school! I jumped out of bed and rushed to my closet. I pulled down a cherry-blossom pink top and held it up so Chase could see.

"Does this look alright?" I called, frantically searching for a pair of shoes.

"Seems kind of good-girl to me." He called back. I poked my head out of my closet so that I could look at him.

"What are you trying to say?" I demanded. He smirked and got off my bed.

"Come on. Do you have a credit card?" He grabbed the shirt from my hand, glanced at it then tossed it over his shoulder. I frowned and crossed my arms.

"Why would I need a credit card?" I asked. He smirked and put his finger under my chin.

"Because you're skipping class today to go shopping." He replied. I swatted his hand away and scowled.

"I am not going to skip class!" I exclaimed indignantly. Chase grinned.

"Look, if you're going to be different than the 'Silent Isabelle', then you need a new wardrobe. And I am calling in the best fashion freak I know." Chase pulled out his cellphone and he dialed a number. I watched as he grinned.
