My eyes fluttered open and I took a deep breath. I still felt repulsed by the little spy mission I had conducted last night. I wanted to throw up, honestly. I sighed and tossed the covers off, throwing my legs over the edge of the mattress. I put my feet down and I walked toward my bedroom door. I slipped out into the hall. I heard the sound of voices coming from the living room and I followed them. I discovered that Mom, Dad and Chase were all sitting around the coffee table and they looked serious.

"-leaving? For how long? Isabelle will be devastated." Dad was saying. Chase sighed. None of them had noticed me come into the room.

"I'm not exactly sure how long I'll be gone. I do thank you for your blessing, though. It means a lot to me that you trust me with your daughter's heart." Chase replied. I froze.

"Of course, Chase. I've never seen my daughter as happy as she is when you were together last night. It was amazing to come home and hear her speaking again. That is the most amazing thing that I've ever heard." Mom said, lifting her mug of coffee to her lips. Mom never said things like that!

"Where are you going, though?" Dad asked. I found that was the best moment to walk through the living room like I had just come down the hall. They all glanced at me.

"Good morning sunshine!" Dad cheered. I smiled at him, my mood lifted by his infectious smile.

"Morning, Dad. What time is it?" I asked. Dad glanced at his watch.

"Almost one. Ah, I should probably go. I've got a lunch meeting with a few guys from work. I'll see all of you later. Chase, it was nice to meet you, and you are welcome here anytime." Dad said. Chase beamed and stood up, sticking his hand out to shake hands with my Dad. Then Dad was off and Mom returned to the kitchen to refill her coffee. I glanced at Chase as I sat down beside him on the couch.

"They gave you their blessing?" I asked him with a smile. Chase grinned and leaned toward me, holding his lips a few inches away.

"Yeah. They said that they trust me and that they're happy to invite me to be a part of the family." He said with a smirk. I smiled back, because I knew that it was possible now. I knew that it was possible that Chase could survive this and he could come home with me and we could be happy.

Chase kissed be briefly and I found that I wasn't desperate for more at the moment, because we would have time after the trial to do things properly. I took a deep breath as Chase snaked his arm around my shoulders as Mom entered the living room again.

"I have a meeting as well, but I might be home later than your father. We can all go out to dinner tonight and we can get further acquainted about the events of the last few weeks while we were gone." She explained. I smiled at her and tried to be polite.

"That would be awesome, Mom. See you when you get back." I replied. She smiled at me and Chase and then she left as well. I turned to Chase.

"I say we go do something amazing." I told him immediately. Chase looked surprised.

"Hmm... I can't really think of anything more amazing than being with you the rest of my life." I knew he wanted to say something about that being a short time, though. I sighed.

"No, I mean go do something crazy and fun and... amazing. Something that we'll never forget." I explained in frustration, although I was kinda flattered because of that cheesy comment. Chase considered.

"What do you suggest, little daredevil?" He asked with a smile. I sighed as I thought. There wasn't much that we could do that wouldn't get us into trouble, except...

"Take me flying." I said before I could think. Chase looked surprised, but he grinned.

"Really?" He asked. I nodded enthusiastically.

"It would be so amazing." I replied. Chase seemed to think about it.

"It'll be dangerous... but fun... Just so long as you promise me that you do exactly as I say."

"Of course! Can we, please?" I asked excitedly. Chase grinned.

"Alright. Okay." He answered. I laughed with joy and quickly bounced off the couch. I grabbed his hand and dragged him back to my bedroom. I opened my closet while Chase sat on my bed. I grabbed a cream-colored sweater, a red infinity scarf, a pair of black leggings, and my favorite (new) pair of brown combat boots. I also grabbed a pair of leg warmers that were the same color as my sweater. I didn't mind changing in front of Chase now, and I did so swiftly. I was standing in just my black lace bra and black panties when Chase walked over. His fingers trailed up my hips and up my side, sending shivers down my back. I swallowed hard and leaned back against his chest.

"Do you think that flying could wait just a little while longer?" Chase breathed in my ear. I smiled and closed my eyes as Chase put his hands on my hips.

"I'm sure it could." I replied softly. Chase chuckled and I felt his lips press against the crook of my neck. He pulled his lips away and turned me in his arms. I looked up at him and I found myself smiling in spite of myself. Chase looked confused and amused at the same time.

"What?" He asked gently. I smiled.

"You are so amazing." I replied as I stood on my tip toes and kissed Chase softly.
