"My name is Darius Trovani. I am the leader of this wonderful planet. You must be Isabelle Johnson. It is a pleasure to finally meet you." He said suddenly. I stared at him, dumbfounded.

"Yes, sir. I... I'm Isabelle." I replied nervously. Darius smiled kindly.

"Not to worry, Ms. Johnson. I mean you no harm. I just wish to authenticate what you have already proven. I must warn you, I will be getting a glimpse of everything in your life. And you will be getting a glimpse of mine as well. It will be very quick and painless. I have never attempted this with a human before, so I do not know of any side-effects. So please, do not be alarmed if you faint or something of that sort." He explained gently. I cautiously nodded. My whole life?

"I'm ready." I told him. Darius nodded.

"Place your hands on the table, please." He ordered politely. I did as instructed and his hands hovered over my open palms. Our eyes connected an instant before his hands came down and clasped my wrists. Images instantly began flying through my mind. I got a sense of purity and hope at the beginning, and then things somewhat became darker and darker. I saw images of war, death, fear. I saw the destruction of Earth, and I saw the rebuilding of the planet. I saw the evolution of man, I saw the damage that man caused and I saw the beauty that man brought into the world. I had never realized how much planet Earth had gone through, and how miniscule I was, as a human being on Earth.

It seemed like seconds later that I was opening my eyes. I no longer was seeing Darius Trovani. I was looking at the lit ceiling of my bedroom. I sat up quickly and looked around in terror. What had happened? How had I ended up back on Earth?! I threw my blankets off and saw that I was still dressed as I had been when I had gone to Zarth, so it must not have been a dream or anything. I quickly rushed from my bedroom and down the hall, into the living room. Nobody seemed to be home. I paused and listened as a strange noise reached my ears. Was it... the sound of bacon? I moved towards the kitchen swiftly and peeked in. To my surprise, Chase was at the stove, and I could smell bacon cooking.

"What the hell?" I demanded. Chase glanced at me and gave me a huge grin.

"There she is." He said with a huge smile. I was still flabbergasted. He looked me up and down.

"What happened? How are we back here? Where is my family?" I questioned. Chase took a deep breath.

"After the Leader looked at your memories, you passed out cold. But the leader had all the information he needed and pardoned me quickly. He's already arrested both Chris and Andi, and he sent us home with an escort. He said that he wanted you to contact him as soon as possible." Chase explained in a care-free way. Joy and excitement swept through me. I did it! I actually did it! A smile slipped onto my lips and I looked at Chase.

"I did it." I breathed. He smiled back at me.

"Yes. Yes you did, Belle." He replied. I wanted to scream and jump for joy, but I didn't. I just felt incredulous. Chase was safe! I suddenly ran toward him and hugged him tightly.

"Oh my god, I did it!" I exclaimed. Chase laughed as he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me back tightly.
