Chapter XVIII : Ice cream

Bill .

I understand why she'd not take my calls or texts ,and I know it might get worse now after I'd submit the divorce to her ,she has finally become free and my journey of approach begins once again because I am never letting her go .

I've been stupid enough to let another woman take her place in my life , it's my fault and I'd live the consequences and punishment .

So when I woke up this morning our house was being quiet , who am I kidding River was the only one lighting this house with every special ounce of happiness and now she's gone .

" Breakfast Sir " my old house maid invited me and I nodded to her . Taking breakfast every morning was not a happy thing I resolved to do but rather to remind myself of how foolish I was to leave my wife year and half all alone in this long table having breakfast alone , I wanted to feel what she felt .

And I sure did ,months without her has been a torture ,not that I don't deserve one .

" You've been selfish Bill ,not inviting me anymore to have fun " Sam came right through the right time ,to nag me I know .

" You really have to grow up Samson ,find someone and settle down that's a fun thing you know "

He scoffed at my sarcasm ,Sam was not someone to close up his pant let alone settle with one woman ,he was never born with such ability .

" That's ridiculous Bill ,you don't get to tell me that when you fucked up in your marriage do you think I would survive " he mocks and I stopped eating so I could take a closer look at his annoying face .

This man really knows nothing when it comes to spouting nonsense and how feelings matter

Another specialty he carries .

" You will if you truly find true love ,I made a mistake and I don't expect you to repeat what I did yo River ,so open your eyes and learn because there's a point a family is needed no matter how good a player you're "

He scoffs picking a piece of my bacon and throw it to his mouth .

" Cut with the funny stuffs .......my shipment have been blocked again "  He sucked some air and the ruffled his hairs being frustrated .

" You really should stop sneaky ways ....next time you get jailed I won't pick you up "

" Nathan is doing some shits with me ,I've really gotten past those sneaky ways but I guess my cousin can never bear the thought of my success in his life " Sam spoke and I understand his point .

Nathan and Sam are cousins but we're raised together with their uncle last in their family ,they're wealth but that old man showed them that everything was his and if any one would want something he should make his way up to success but he wouldn't give a dime until when he lost his one and only son in a car accident remaining with the two boys he raised .

So he dived his wealth equally before death and each boy had his way to life but Nathan was a smart boy than Sam who used his weatlh recklessly until he was back to stage one but he'd learnt his lesson and started again fighting his way up to success . He used so many sneaky ways and he's been at jail for how long I can count but then one day he promised ged stop and fight truly ,and so he did I believe and now he owns shipments for cargos business , companies for transportation ,he opened the clothing companies , Restaurants and now he's into machinery .

Nathan is one sneaky bastard who was happy to see his brother fall and he'd do anything to cross his brother and see him fail .

Not all humankind are kind after all .

" Well I guess we'll solve that another time ,now I have somewhere to go " I spoke

" Where are you going ,this is serious ..I need some help " he spoke in disbelief and I gave him a glance .

" Don't tell me it's today ...Zoo day whatever you call it " he raised his voice as I smiled at him .

" Good to know you remember ,so am out of here "

" You really have to snap out of it Bill ,she's gone , you two are divorce ,you should stop this whole family facade you've carried for years and led your own life now " he shouted and I seethed in anger .

This young man knows nothing about family .

" I don't blame you ,you weren't raised in one ,never gotten it's love so you don't understand love in every way  ,and you surely don't learn from mistakes but I do Samson  and I've made mistakes here and am willingly to correct them so I'd honour those ridiculous family things you call because they matter to me , they don't to you and I understand "

He stood frozen and I grabbed my jacket and walked out slowly . I know I might have been a little bit harsh but it was a solid truth that I know of his life .

Ignoring that I drove to Rivers favourate zoo , the minglos ,I remember how she'd talk about it before our marriage and it was the first thing she'd beg me when I asked what I should do for her .

She always liked the lion despite for the fear ,she'd always say

The lion is the king of jungle ,just as you are the king in my life

And I'd love those line enough to forget about that , how selfish I was .

Looking at the lions cage , my thoughts wondered far away but the people around me surely enjoyed seeing the lions and I wished only if faith was here .

" I've always loved the Lions because they're the kings of the jungles ....... Isn't that beautiful " a voice am familiar with spoke because me and I smiled to myself because .

The love of my life still loves the lions even when am no more a king to her life ..... I'd start fighting for that too .... Being the lion to her life  .

" Faith ..."

" You should really stop coming here , you know "

And I smiled again .
