Sunstone rushed through their den. "Mom, is food ready yet?" He called.
"Not yet honey, it'll be ready in a few." Raindrop called.
"Okay thats fine!" He called. "I'm totally not starving." He said to himself. "Ugh. Where is my bag?? HERRON!!" He called.
"WHAT??" She called from across the den.
"WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY BAG?" He called louder.
"I DONT KNOW?!" She called. "OH- WAIT I THINK ITS ON THE DECK!"
"Ugh." He scoffed to himself. "OKAY THANKS I GUESS!" He called to her, making his way to the deck of their den.
Stag rushed past Sunstone, leaving him a little startled. "Woah, why so rushed?" He asked,
"I woke up to late and I think Frog left me behind!" Stag said panicky.
"He didn't leave you. He's in the bathroom fixing his scales. He probably wants to be the 'prETtiEsT DrAGon aT tHe sChOoL.'" Sunstone said mockingly. They both chuckled.
"I'm sure. Oh and-" Stag was cut off.
"Bag?" Sunstone asked, holding up Stags bag in front of him.
"Uh.. yes? Thanks." Stag said, confusion seeping in. He opened up the bag to check if everything was in it. POP! A fake springy weasel popped out, spooking Stag.
"AH!" Stag yelped, jumping back, throwing his bag down. "What was that for?!" Stag asked.
"Oh nothing. Just revenge from you SCARING ME AND MAKING ME DROP MY FOOD LAST WEEK!" Sunstone said loudly.
"Three moons, you're still stuck on that? I told you I'm sorry!" Stag said.
"And I said that I'll get revenge!" Sustone said. "Now we're even, and you won't have to worry."
Stag shook his head and chuckled. "I guess so." He said. "At least everything that has to be there is there." He chuckled.
They ate breakfast, and soon, it was time for the guide group to go to Jade Mountain Academy. He was bustling with exitement. The mudwing leading them was big and bulky, with a large scar looks like from the mudwing skywing war about 19 years ago.
"Ooh ooh ooh!! They're here!!!" Harped Herron, bolting out of the door.
"Looks like she's exited." Frog said, grabbing his bag.
Sunstone grabbed his bag as well. "Yep!" He said. "Me too!" He bolted out of the door and stopped beside Herron.
Herron started lifting off of the ground, and joining the group in the air. Sunstone stood, not able to lift off with them. "Uhh.. a little help maybe?" He asked a little embarrassed. He had no wings to lift off with. He showed them his stubs and a look of realization fall over the Guide.
"Oh, can you not fly buddy?" The huge guide asked with his booming yet calm voice.
"Uhm.. no. My- well I don't have wings.." Sunstone said, a little embarrassed because of his lack of wings. He had to say it in front of all these mudwings. What if they all thought he was weird? What if nodragon wanted to be his friend? What if at Jade Mountain, everydragon thought he was weird and ugly and not even a dragon and didn't want to be his friend and they cast him out and- he didn't need to think that. Everything will be awesome at Jade Mountain. Maybe. No, for sure.
The guide came to the ground with a thump. "Here. Hop on. I'll carry ya'." The guide said.
Sunstone wanted to curl up into a ball and disappear like a rainwing, but he didn't have a choice. If he wanted to go and learn at Jade Mountain, he had to throw away this embarrassment for at least until he got to there.
"Thanks so much. I appreciate it. Sorry." He said hopping on the guide back. He avoided his spikes.
"No need to be sorry. You can't help it." The guide said, lifting back into the air.
Stag and Frog had already came out, and lifted off into the flock of dragons. Sunstone saw his sibs already up there. He looked at them, waving.
Both Stag Frog and Herron waved back. "Do you mind if we come up there with you sir? So we can talk to our brother on the way?" Frog asked politely.
"Oh, no I don't mind. Come on over." He said, giving them a 'come on' gesture.
Stag, Frog, and Herron flew up near Sunstone, staying far enough away that they wouldn't hit the guides huge wingspan.
They stopped by a few more dens in the mud kingdom, and soon, it was time to fly.
