They flew for a while, making their way to Jade Mountain.
Sunstone loved the way the breeze ruffled his scales a little. He hated that he wouldn't get to feel this much at all unless someone was carrying him in the air. He was a light, slim dragon, but still in good shape. He wasn't fat or skinny, perfect for being carried by a big dragon.
After about 3 hours of flying, including stopping and taking a break. Although, Sunstone didn't need it, for he wasn't acually flying with wings, he was riding on a big mudwings back.
The closer they got, the more exited everydragon seemed to get, by the time they were almost there, Sunstone and Herron was basically radiating with exitement. It was thier first year at Jade Mountain Academy, and everything Sunstone had heard about it, it was amazing. The teachers are supposedly very nice, classes are great, and it was just a really nice place to be for learning.
There were a few schools in the mud kingdom, but they weren't for teaching dragonet as old as Sunstone, Herron, Stag, or Frog. Or any of the dragons flying by or behind them. The schools in the mud kingdom were for little dragonets, about 2 or 3. He went to those, and they helped him learn how to read and write, but nothing else. Didn't teach him history or any of the things he likes.
Sunstone loves history. Mother would always tell them wonderful stories of things that happened in Pyrrhia. He loved learning how Pyrrhia was made and all the things in dragon history.
Sunstone daydreamed and talked with his sibs, and soon, they had made it to the school.
There was a big sign that said "WELCOME TO JADE MOUNTAIN ACADEMY!"
Sunstone felt more exited by the second. He was about to become a student at Jade Mountain.
He waited for his siblings, and they walked in together. "I'm so exited. How is it here Stag? You should know you've came here last year." Sunstone asked
"It was great. Me and Frog didn't get in the same winglet because we're the same tribe. You get put in a winglet with different tribes." Stag informed him. "You might have a chance to get with us since you're a skywing." He said.
"Ooh, that's nice." Sunstone said. He'd like to get in a winglet with one of his sibs. He'd like to at least know somedrgaon is his winglet instead of start from scratch.
"Don't get your hopes up though. You never know if you'll get in the same winglet as somedragon you want." Stag said.
"Oh." Sunstone said. All of that hope of being together and not starting from scratch completely disappeared, and a sort of dread fell over him. Oh no.. what if I have to meet new dragons that may hate me because I have no wings and they think I, ugly and never like me? Wait, no I can't think like that that's wrong. They will love me! Now I feel like I'm lying. I hate this feeling.. Sunstone thought. His mind couldn't stop thinking that they wouldn't like him, and that they would never want to be friends with him.
The dreadful feeling wouldn't leave him as he walked into the huge crowd of dragons.
All of them have wings.. all of them are normal.. all of them are real dragons.. his mind swirled. He could throw away the feeling that he won't be liked.
A big, kind looking icewing stood on the podium. "I am Principal Evening." Said Principal Evening with his booming yet kind sounding voice.
"And welcome to Jade Mountain Academy!" He said happily, spreading out his arms. "Here, you will be learning side by side with dragons from all of the other tribes. We have assigned you a winglet with six other dragons to be with this whole school year."
Sunstone was super nervous but really exited at the same time. Such a great learning opportunity! What dragons will I be with? What will I get to learn? Will I make friends? Will my winglet like me? Will I be accepted as I am? His mind cycled through those 5 thoughts, waiting to get his assigned winglet.
"I will be giving you guys your winglets." Principal Evening said. "For the jade winglet, we have," he said, and started naming names. "Stag." He said.
Sunstone was a little disappointed he didn't get into Stags winglet, but he still had a chance to get into Frog's or Herron's.
Principle Evening called the second winglet, soon, got to the third. The copper winglet. He was naming names of dragons from all the tribes. "Frog." He called.
Dangit.. Sunstones mind cursed, disappointed he didn't get into Frog's winglet. He crossed his talons, hoping he gets Herron.
Principle Evening called another winglet. "...Sunstone." he was in the silver winglet.

A wave of embarrassment fell over him. All the other dragons were flying to thier winglet. He had to walk. He had no wings to fly over there with.
Oh no... he thought. This won't be good...
He nudged through dragons and squeezed through tight gaps between students. He slowly made his way to the silver winglet spot with all of his clawmates.
Thereld was a Large seawing, a even larger mudwing, a sassy looking rainwing, a small, fierce looking sandwing, a calm looking nightwing, and a shy looking icewing.
