Sunstone walked into self defence and herbs class. He saw a muscular female skywing, and a smaller, scarred up seawing.

Sunstone sat down, and plopped his bag beside him. He got out his notepad, and a pencil.

He watched as his clawmates piled in, sitting in thier spots.

"Hello, class!" Said the skywing. "I am Ms. Bulbul." She looked to the seawing.

"And I am Mr. Trilobuta." He said.

"We are you're herbs and self defence instructors." They said in unison.

They went on to tell the rules of thier class, and what they can do once they finish work, blah blah blah.

By the time they finished going over rules, Sunstone was already bored out of his mind. He struggled to pay attention, his mind kept darting to other things, keeping him entertained. He would get a song he knew playing in his head for a minute, then he would just think about things that he's curios about, just think about stuff.

At one time he nearly fell asleep looking at the floor. It was a good thing he was behind Reef and Corroborre, because he was sure if he was caught snoozing things wouldn't end well.

The lecture went on, and they did a few worksheets to keep as notes. He wrote a lot of notes on the lesson just so he could stay awake. He nearly had a whole page full. And he writes small.

The class felt like it went on for eternity. He kept glancing at the clock on the wall above the whiteboard in the cave, just hoping class is almost over.

He glance at the clock more and more, and to his surprise, after about 18 glances the whole lesson, it was two minutes till next class. He payed attention the whole time, and had nearly two full pages of notes, and then- Briiiiiiinnggggg!!! The bell chimed in the hall, signifying it was time for the next class.

Sunstone knew, this is probably going to be his least favorite class. He was also sure that the other students felt the exact same way.

The silver winglet got out of that class so quick it wasn't funny. Within about one minute, they were all walking down the hall to the next class.

Sunstone had studied the school map, but not good enough, because he had no clue where to go.

"Lucky we have you Princess Radiance! Or-.. at least me. I would be wandering around these halls like a dragon in a hay maze!" He said.

Radiance looked back slightly, and smiled. "Not a problem. And, you really do not have to call me 'Princess Radiance'. It isn't that important. I love it, but you don't have to act like I'm the queen or something." She shrugged.

Sunstone didn't expect that, but he'll respect it. "Okay, sorry." Hr apologized.

"Oh, no, you mustn't apologize, you did nothing wrong." She chuckled. "It's sweet." She said.

"Oh." Susntone nodded. "What is it like being royalty?" He asked.

"It's nice. The duties aren't fun sometimes, but you get a lot of special treatment." She said.

Sunstone thought that didn't sound horrible. Royal duties can't be that bad. "What kind of 'special treatment'?" He asked.

"Like, if you go to a store or something they insist on giving you something for free, you also get to have lots of jewels and treasure, and everyone always bows to you as well as always trying to do something for you." She said.

Sunstone doesn't understand why she's saying it like it's annoying. He would do anything for treatment like that!

If he was royalty, like the prince of Queen Carmine, he feels like he would have it good. He would be respected, and loved, dragons wouldn't even bat an eye at his lack of wings because he was the handsome prince of the queen, ladies would love him, he would have beautiful jewels embedded below his eyes and on his eyebrows and on his shoulders, he would have royal jewelry, but not girly jewelry, handsome, manly jewelry. Heck, maybe he'd even have golden synthetic wings, with jewels lined up and down them and webbing that glimmered and looked like fire when Illuminated by the sun.

"Caught daydreaming?" Radiance teased him.

Sunstone's faced got a red, embarrassed tint over his orange scales.

"Heh- i- sorry- yeah.. I- I was." He chuckled embarrassedly.

"Hey, there isn't any shame in it." Radiance giggled.

Sunstone chuckled. How come I don't get the feeling I do around Viper..? Radiance is a pretty girl, and she's nice to, but I don't get the same feeling? He thought. This confused him. Majorly. He liked Radiance, she was nice, but he just got the friend vibe. Not the "holy-macaroni-shes-very-pretty-and-i-cant-stop-thinking-about-how-gr-eat-she-is" vibe.

He tried to forget about it as they walked. It still loomed over his thoughts a little, but he had pushed it to the back of his mind for now.

They walked into History class, and a kind looking mudwing smiled at them.

She had, "Hello, class!" Written on the board.

Sunstone sat at the front, got out his notepad, and waited for the others to pile in.

I hope Viper sits by me. He thought. Wait, why am I thinking that??? UGHH!! I don't understand feelings. He huffed in his head.

"Welcome class!" The mudwing said. She walked up to the green chalkboard and wrote her name. "Mrs. Deluge." She wrote on the board. "I am Mrs. Deluge." She said happily.

The class looked at eachother, ready to see what this class (and teacher) was all about.

"I'll keep thing as fun as I can here in history, but sometimes it's a little hard!" She chuckled warmly.

Sunstone has always liked history, and he assumes he'll definitely like this class.

He doodled poorly drawn stick dragons of him, Viper, Reef, Radiance, Lunarpool, Snowbird, and Corroborre. He drew little sparkles around Viper subconsciously, then caught himself a little confused. Sparkles? Why sparkles? Because her scales are warm and comfortable like the glowing sun? WHA- Why does my brain think this?! He thought.

"Hey, Sunstone, i-i just noticed," Viper started. "You are really nice! I wanna be your friend, maybe? I-If you wanna be mine?" She asked nervously.

That fluttery feeling in his chest came back, stronger than ever before. What was it? Why did it come EVERY TIME he was around Viper and JUST Viper?

"Yes! Of-of course! I would love to!" Sunstone said while his mind was going berserk. "That would be great." He said.

Viper smiled, and it made him feel like a million butterflies had started flapping and going crazy in his chest, and his cheeks were feeling as hot as the sun. His face made a smile without his brain's permission, and it was the happiest smile he'd ever felt like he'd smiled.
