The dragonets continued chatting, and soon, the bells in the halls began to ring. It was time for Sunstones first ever classes at Jade Mountain. He will be an official student at JMA.

It seemed as if every dragon exept for some were bustling with exitement as thier winglets walked through the halls to classes. There were five winglets, and four classes. So one winglet every day had to be with another in a class.

Sunstone was brimming with exitement as he walked through the the halls on the middle level.

The bottom level of the school was the cafeteria, the prey center, the art room, the library, and also the lobby and office to the school. It was all decorated and cheerful in the lobby, welcoming all the new (and old) students to Jade Mountain Academy this year. The middle level was all the classes. Self defence and herbs, Fighting, Music, and History. (His favorite of everything even though he hasn't seen what it's like yet. He just likes learning about history with his siblings and mom. Maybe it will be as good?) That level was heavily decorated with boards in the halls beside the classes with cheerful colored letters saying "Welcome to Jade Mountain Academy!" Or "Welcome! -Teachers and Principal Evening of JMA" The third level was all of the sleeping caves. That's where the Teachers, students, and Principal Evening sleeps at night. The hallway isn't decorated on this level as much, but there are a few here and there. There are metal bells on the walls to alert the students when class time is. They also have those bells on the classes level, but they're just everywhere. Unlike the two bells on the sleeping cave level.

Sunstone was nearly hopping with joy following Radiance with the others. She had been at Jade Mountain for the 2 year now, so she knew where everything was.

Sunstone tried to contain his exitement and let himself gush about it when classes were over today.

Then, they were at their first class. Fighting. The cave was large and spacious, with sparring mats in the sparring ring and on the walls around it. There where taller mats for a wall around the ring, and a little door with mats attached to it as well so dragons don't hurt themselves sparring eachother.

Sunstone looked around, wondering where to sit. He wanted to sit by maybe Snowbird, Reef, or Lunarpool, but ended up sitting between Viper and Corroborre. Which, wasn't bad at all. They are both really nice.

Vipers warm scales radiated the warmth of the desert heat on his scales, and it gave him the feeling he always gets around Viper. His face always feels a little hot, and his chest feels like he has about fourteen thousand butterflies in it, but he'd grown used to it. It wasn't that weird anymore. It was just the norm'.

A pinkish orange skywing looked up from thier desk as the silver winglet stepped in and took a seat.

Sunstone was instantly worried. What if he doesn't like him? Most of his encounters with skywings were always them telling him he's Worthless. Exept for Raven. His best friend from when he was still with his... old parents. How he missed him..

"Why hello, Students!" Said the Skywing. "I'm Skyrush."

A student raised their hand. It was Reef. "Do we call you Ms. Skyrush, Or Mr. Skyrush?" He asked.

"Oh my, I have to tell about me real quickly. I do not go by either she or he, I prefer they, but he wouldn't completely bother me." They said kindly.

Neat. Never seen a dragon go by they. Sunstone thought.

Reef nodded.

"Today, we will be learning the right fighting stance, and how be ready and aware when you must fight." Skyrush said, walking in front of their desk to the white board. "I try to keep things fun in this class, also." They said winking at the students. They drew a circle, with a line for a snout, a long line for the back and the tail, lines for the limbs, and circles for the feet and talons.

Sunstone thought for a moment, then finally noticed what they drew. Skyrush had drawn the stance when being ready to fight. Sunstone quickly dug through his bag, and drew out a large notepad. He wrote; "stance for fighting:" and did his best copying what Skyrush had drawn.

"This is the stance when being ready to fight." Skyrush said.

Glad I was right because I wrote that with a pen. Sunstone thought. He made sure to leave room on the page if he needed more notes.

"Alright. Now. Would you guys like to try?" Skyrush said, gesturing for them to stand.

The winglet stood, and spaced out so they wouldn't hit eachother.

"Now, you may try that stance, and I'll come correct you and put you in the right stance as needed!" Skyrush said cheerfully.

They sauntered around the room, correcting dragonets stances, and gently moving dragons talon to the right angle.

Sunstone watched them walk up to him, and look at his stance.

"Don't be so stiff." Skyrush said.

Sunstone relaxed his muscles a little. "Like this?" He asked them.

"Yes, that's great! And one more thing, your talons are to far apart." They chuckled. Skyrush gently pushed his feel a little closer and lowered his body a little after.

Sunstone cooperated with Skyrush, letting them alter his stance.

"There you go." Skyrush said. "You can relax and sit back down." They said, nodding to Sunstone. "Great job."

"Thank you." Sunstone said smiling, and went to sit back down. He went and sat down where his notepad is. He chatted with Reef, and soon, everyone was sat back down.

Class continued, and soon, class was about over.

Ughh.. I'm so ready for the next class. Sunstone thought draggily. A few minutes passed, and Sunstone was looking around the cave at the decorations, until a noise caught him off guard.

All the students looked out the door, and looked at Skyrush. They finished thier sentence and concluded the lesson. "That's our lesson today, I hope you guys have a great rest of the first day!" They said waving to them as they walked out.

Sunstone nodded, and walked out behind Radiance. He hurried up beside his friends.

"Did you guys like that class? I did, but It got a little draggy by the end. I like learning, but sometimes it's just so boring, right?" Sunstone chattered.

"Yeah. I got superrrr bored at the end." Said Corroborre. "I would rather be painting right now!" He said.

"I didn't know you were an artsy fartsy." Said Reef teasingly.

"What- no- i-" Corroborre stuttered a little embarrassed. "Artsy fartsy isn't a bad thing!! I'm not saying I'm an artsy fartsy either I just- I'm passionate towards art, okay?"

They all chuckled. "Okay okay." Reef said, holding up a talon.

Soon, they were at thier next class. Herbs and self defence.
