The Next Day

Sunday Morning

"Kai hurry up I want my gifts!!," Skylar whined on our FaceTime call.

"You're so annoying and childish shut up girl," I said.

"Don't talk to me like that on my birthday!," Skylar exclaimed. I chuckle a bit as I shake my head.

"Ok....I got everything ready. I'll be up in a few minutes. I'll grab Ayla on the way up."

"Ok! Bye love you!"

"Love you too." I end the call and I grab all of Skylar's gifts. Good lord she is spoiled. I place my phone and wallet which contains my key card into my pocket. I slip on my shoes and then I head out. I walk down a few doors and knock lightly on Ayla's door. She answers and I can't help but to look her up and down. Damn. That dress is sitting on her body perfectly. We are going to brunch after we give Skylar all of her gifts, so she is dressed for the occasion. I notice she has a couple of gift bags in her hands.

"Ready?," I asked.

"Yes I can't wait to give this girl her gifts so she will be quiet already. Spoiled ass," Ayla grumbled. I snicker because I feel the same exact way. She closes her door behind her and we make our way towards the elevator. I press the down button and when it opens, we step on. I look over at her as she looks forward.

"You look really good," I said. She looks at me and smirks and nods her head.

"Thanks.....so do you," Ayla said while looking away. Once we are on the ninth floor, we make our way to Jorden and Skylar's room. I knock on the door and Skylar answers immediately.

"Happy Birthday beautiful!," Ayla said happily.

"Thank you boo!," Skylar said. They share a long embrace and then Ayla walks into the room. Skylar looks at me and I playfully roll my eyes.

"Kai....don't even start," Skylar huffed.

"Happy birthday ugly," I said while smiling widely. Skylar slaps my chest before pulling me into an embrace. I set down my gifts carefully and then pull her into a tight embrace. I lift her off the ground a bit and she laughs as she holds me tightly. I set her down after a few moments and then I kiss her cheek a few times.

"Happy 33rd birthday gorgeous," I said softly.

"Thanks so much Kai," Skylar said while pouting a bit. I take my gifts and walk inside and Skylar closes the door. Their suite is really nice. It has a kitchen and separate dining area. Skylar leads me and Ayla to the dining area and I see Jorden there with a bunch of presents already unopened on the table.

"Your greedy self couldn't wait huh," I teased. Skylar sticks out her tongue at me and I set down my gifts on the table. Jorden walks over to me and we share a dap and then embrace.

"We have to stop spoiling this girl," I said.

"I wish....it's just so hard I mean look at her man," Jorden said while looking at Skylar lovingly.

"Aw damn nigga I don't want to hear that," I scoffed. Jorden laughs and my eyes travel over the multiple clothes, shoes and jewelry that Jorden spoiled her with.

"Ok I'm going to open Ayla's gifts first," Skylar announced. Ayla smiles and sets down her gifts and pushes them towards Skylar. Skylar rubs her hands together happily before going into the first gift bag. She pulls out a Michael Kors crossbody and she smiles widely.

"Oh yesss I have been eyeing this! Aww Ayla thank you so much," Skylar said gratefully.

"You're welcome," Ayla said. She then pulls out a pair of Hermes sneakers and Skylar gasps as she inspects them closely.
