Ayla Jackson has known Kai Harrison for years. Due to his reputation, she never thought much of him. But after an encounter that changed everything, they would embark on a journey that neither would anticipate, but one that was foredestined.
"Ayla!!!!! Jorden proposed!!!!!," Skylar screamed as I stood in the doorway of her house. I just laugh loudly and I pull her into a tight embrace.
"Skylar!! I am so happy for you!," I said happily. She jumps in my arms and I laugh before joining in with her. I'm sure we look goofy as hell right now, but I don't care. I am extremely elated for my best friend. She absolutely deserves this. Once she calms down, I step back from the embrace and I grab her left hand and I look over the diamond ring. It's stunning!!

"Skylar this ring is so gorgeous!! Jorden did his big one with this," I said while smiling widely.
"I cannot believe this Ayla," Skylar whispered. She grabs my hand and we walk inside and she closes the locks the door behind us. We walk over to the couch and sit next to each other.
"Baby I am so happy for you. You deserve this! And I'm excited too!," I said.
"Thank you so much," Skylar said. She looks down at the ring for a few moments and then back at me.
"So how are you feeling?," I asked.
"I'm really in shock. It happened last night and I just could not believe it Ayla.....but then when I woke up and still had the ring on my finger I knew it was real and not a dream....but the proposal was so romantic. He booked us a private table at our favorite restaurant....and at the end he spilled all of his feelings and how he felt. How I'm the only one he will ever want and how he prayed and wished for a woman like me to be his wife....and....I mean I was crying the entire time. But I am so so happy," Skylar said.
"I know you are," I said while smiling in awe.
"......Can I ask you something?," Skylar asked.
"Of course."
"Ayla....please will you do me the honor of being my maid of honor?," Skylar said.
"I would love to! You already know the answer is yes!," I exclaimed. Skylar laughs and we share another short embrace.
"Oh my god you're a fiancee!! You're going to get married!," I shrieked. Skylar just laughs and nods her head.
"I'm on cloud nine right now it really feels like I am dreaming I swear. But thank you so much.....I cannot wait to plan this wedding," Skylar said.
"And you know I will help you every step of the way," I said.
"Thank you so much.....it's going to be a lot....I think me and Jorden will consider a wedding planner as well....and....sorry to say but you know Kai is going to be the best man," Skylar said. Oh god just hearing his name made my insides quivered.
"It's ok...I figured that would be the case. He gets on my nerves, but me and Kai will do whatever you and Jorden need from us," I reassured.
"Thank you.....wow....this is so crazy," Skylar said while laughing a bit.
