Two Weeks Later

Thursday

I look over the multiple architectural plans on my desk. I grab the first one and look it over, adding a few edits on my part. I work as an architectural manager for one of the top home development construction companies here in Dallas. Architecture is something that has always interested me ever since I was a teenager. I had dozens and dozens of my own architectural plans drawn out in my late teens and early twenties, which is why I pursued architecture as my degree. I worked my way up and am now a manager doing very well for myself. I'm actually very sought after from other companies, but I am very happy where I am now. As I am editing a drawing, I hear a knock on my door. I look up and smile softly when I see him.

"Hey Andrew heading out?," I asked

"Hey Andrew heading out?," I asked.

"Yeah it's that time how about you?," Andrew asked.

"I probably need a few more minutes," I said.

"Ok....a couple of us were going to go for drinks would you like to come? I wouldn't mind waiting for you," Andrew said. I look towards him and he smiles softly. I really do think he is an attractive man. But I would never get involved with someone I work with.

"That's sweet but I have to pass," I said.

"You always pass....why is that?," Andrew joked. I smirk softly and he gives me an eager look.

"Andrew....you're really nice but....I just don't want to mix business with pleasure you know? I hope you understand," I said. Andrew nods his head in an understanding manner.

"Yeah....I understand. It's cool. You're just dope as hell and I would love to get to know you better but....I hear you. See you tomorrow?," Andrew said.

"Thank you for understanding Andrew. Yeah see you tomorrow. Have a good evening," I said. He waves and then he disappears from my view. I go back to what I was doing until I see a text on my phone from Kai.

Why you still at work?

How you know I'm here?

You shared your location with me 😏

I furrow my eyebrows and let out a breath after I remember that is true. While in Cancun, I did share my location in case we ever were apart. I guess I forgot to unshare it with him.

Stop stalking me boy.

I'm about to pull up

Kai what? No way

I have food 😊.

Oh man, my stomach just growled at the thought of food. I could really eat right now. Kai has been here before. Just one time. Actually the first time we slept together, the next morning he dropped me off for work, since I didn't have my car. Anyway, I call down to security to let them know Kai will be coming to see me. I text Kai a simple ok message. Within 25 minutes, I hear a soft knock on my door. I look up and my mouth slightly dropped when I see Kai. Damn. Did he dye his hair?!
