Chapter 5

After taking many pictures of each other when we got home we ate dinner together. Then we got ready for bed setting alarms for the early morning to prepare for our last music video shoot before Bang PD uploaded the videos and made our debut official. It was truly nerve-wracking for me to think about this debut being official. I knew that it was going to happen soon but it felt like a train just hitting me all at once. It was late at night around 12 and I couldn't sleep for the life of me. I never really struggled to get sleep, if anything I could sleep anywhere and at any time but not tonight, something about knowing this was our last music video before making our official debut made it impossible for me to sleep. "(Y/N) What's wrong?" I heard a voice whisper making me slightly jump at the sudden voice. "Nothing jungkook, I just can't sleep," I told the boy while turning from my back to my side to face him. Something about the lighting made him so attractive maybe it was the way that the moonlight shined on his face or the look of worry he had in his eyes, but something about him tonight was making him more attractive and the butterflies in my stomach flutter more than they ever have. "You have a camera now, take a picture so it lasts longer" Jungkooks voice went from light and childish to deeper, making him even more attractive if that was even possible. "Yah! Be quiet, now I can't sleep because of you two!" Taehyung said with a whiney tone before peeking down at us from his top bunk. Jungkook and I let out stifled giggles trying to not wake anyone else up before jungkook got up and whispered to us "Come on let's go". I furrowed my eyebrows at him but reluctantly got out of my cozy bed followed by Taehyung as we trailed behind the boy in front of us. We followed jungkook out to the living room before we sat down on the couch and patted the seat next to him signaling for us to sit next to him. Taehyung and I walked over sitting next to jungkook with me in the middle of the two boys. "So why are we out here sitting in the dark?" Taehyung was a super nice guy but boy could he be sassy sometimes. "(Y/N) couldn't sleep so I brought her out here to talk, you didn't have to come you just chose to." It seemed like Taehyung met his match in the sassy department, although the comment just made him flash his boxy smile and get comfortable on the couch. I threw my head back to look up at the ceiling while saying to the boys, "Have you guys ever thought about writing songs with a different concept?" I loved the current concept it was fun and a complete change from the current kpop scene, but I wanted something different, something that was more heartfelt and that would make people think about the meaning behind our songs."Sometimes but Bang PD wants a new Hip-Hop group that's edgy, not a group that writes love songs we're here to change the kpop scene." Taehyung said answering my question with a logical explanation."I know but I can't help but want to write a song that would make people think, like a song with multiple meanings, or even a love song." It wasn't going to happen though if there was anything I was more terrible at than math it would have to be writing songs, or just writing in general. "I get what you mean but we have to listen to Bang PD, plus I think it's a little fun acting all edgy," Jungkook said while looking over at us with a smile on his face. I couldn't help but giggle at his cute bunny-looking smile, it was something I noticed about all of the members, they all had their unique smiles, of course, everyone did but theirs were different none of their smiles were alike in a good way. Taehyung and Jungkook kept talking to each other while I sat there in silence slightly spacing out feeling the sleepiness overwhelm me. I decided to get comfortable by resting my head in Taehyungs lap and sprawling my legs over jungkooks. For a while, I just laid there while teahyung played with the ends of my black and red hair that was slowly fading away. It was comforting in a way, the physical touch although minimal was something I craved from them. Not in a sensual way but in a way that sometimes people need to be touched to feel human. I felt the sleep overcome me and before I knew it I was fast asleep with Taehyungs fingers tangled in my hair as they talked the night away amongst each other.

I woke up comfortably in my bed to the sound of the alarm I had set the night before. It was 4 in the morning and honestly, all I could think about was how I got in my bed. The last thing I remember was falling asleep with Taehyung and Jungkook but now I'm in my bed. I shrugged it off thinking it might have just been a dream or something of the sort before getting out of bed and grabbing a random shirt and pair of pants and walking over to the bathroom. I took a cold shower to help wake me up before brushing my teeth and hair and putting on my outfit. I walked back out of the bathroom into our shared room to see all of the other members waking up with messy bedheads and groggy-looking eyes. I walked over to my bed and decided to lie down before we had to leave, after a couple of minutes of peace it was soon interrupted by a weight falling on me. When I opened my eyes to see who or what was on me I was met with the face of Taehyung who was lying on his stomach practically inches away from my face. "Taehyung get off of me!" I yelled at the boy in a whined tone only to be ignored and have him shove his face into my neck while hugging me at the waist. It was comforting I usually wasn't one for physical touch at all but since joining this group and getting closer to the members, that seemed to change a lot. It was something I was starting to cave in. I let the boy cling to me until Jin shouted at us that the car was already outside of the building and that we had to go. We all rushed out of the apartment locking the door behind us before rushing out to the car and stuffing ourselves in it in a rushed manner to not keep the driver waiting any longer. On the way to set, I took a short nap since the sun wasn't even up but we had to be. We arrived at the set about 30 minutes later, this time there wasn't much to set it was a white and black checkerboard pattern floor with a solid black backdrop. Nari rushed over to me pulling me away from the rest of my members almost as soon as she saw me. She shoved me behind a curtain before handing me a black cropped long-sleeved shirt and a skirt with a gold and black pattern. 

I put on the outfit she provided for me before she walked me over to the area where she started doing my hair and makeup. "(N/N) We need to do something with your hair, it's starting to fade, you can hardly tell you have any color in it." She was right though my hair dye although permanent was fading away and was barely noticeable now. After a couple of hours, Nari was done doing my hair and makeup and I was able to go join the rest of the members on set. The first part of the music video that we were filming was the dancing since there was more dancing in this video than in any individual shots. Shooting the dance was hard especially since I was in a skirt I felt rather restricted although I had safety shorts on under the skirt. I was just going to have to get used to moving so much in skirts, it was a new thing for me to be dancing in a skirt, for all of the practices we had to prepare for the album I always wore sweats or leggings. Once we got enough footage as a group we did our shots, since I had the fewest lines in the song I went first it was always fun but nerve-wracking to film the individual parts of the song. When we were done getting all of the footage we needed with me I walked over to Nari who had been telling me to go change when I was done. My second outfit was a lot more suited for dancing. Nari gave me a flared pair of high-waisted pants with a black shirt tied into a knot in the back, a black bucket hat, and black boots to top it all off.

I went back over to the rest of the members watching them film their parts of the song, and before I knew it we had to repeat the process in our new outfits. I was trying my best to get used to all of the repetition that came with shooting music videos, but it was hard. We all got back into the center of the floor and started dancing and lip-singing to the catchy song that was playing. Once we got all of the group shots we needed the director wanted to do some more shots with the rap line, so that was my sign to get out of the outfit I had on and back into the lazy outfit I had when we first arrived. After changing and saying my thank you's to Nari I sat down on a chair off to the side of all the commotion that came on a shooting day. Today the camera for Bangtang TV only got shots of us making the music video and not any of us messing around with each other which was honestly good. Everyone seemed to be on edge and more stressed than usual. It was probably because of the pressure we felt to do our absolute best for this debut. Bang PD was relying on us to bring the sales back up, and once we were successful enough Bang PD said we could move out of the apartment and get a dorm where we would all have our rooms. I know it sounds like we're little kids but sharing a room could be kind of hard sometimes. There wasn't much room, no privacy, the beds were small. There were many flaws with our way of living but I was grateful for it. If it wasn't for sharing a room with all the members I don't think we'd be as close as we are now. Being so young and away from our families Jin took on a big role in helping raise us and show us things our parents didn't get to do before we had to leave. Like showing the boys how to shave, taking Jungkook and me to get our school uniforms, or planning and birthday celebration for Jungkook's birthday. What these boys do for each other and I will never go unappreciated, and I could never have wished to join another group, it was like we had already all been a family in another life.
