Chapter 27

"(N/N) wake up you're going to be late for school," I heard the voice of the boy who I know as my boyfriend saying while shaking me around in an attempt to wake me up. I sat up moving the covers that were once keeping me warm away from my body. "I don't want to go to school, It's so hard and we have dance practice later. Can I stay home," I whined while rubbing my eyes to wake myself up fully. "Well too bad you're an idol and a student, now get up and get ready before Jin scolds you," Taehyung commented while pulling me out of bed and handing me my freshly washed yellow uniform. I walked into the bathroom shutting and locking the door behind me. I threw on my uniform and brushed my hair and teeth before leaving the bathroom. 

I walked down the hall to see Jin packing some lunch in my bag and then showing it over his shoulder so he could wear it on his back. "Jin, I can carry my bag," I commented while holding my hand out so he could give it to me. "No, it's okay we're all going to school with you either way so I'll carry it for you until we get to your school," He replied making my eyes widen. I completely forgot all the members were attending school with Jungkook and me today. "Let's get going I don't need you being late," Jin said while ushering me out the door locking it behind me. I walked down to the van that was waiting for us only to see all of the other members were already there and were ready to go. I sat in the seat next to Taehyung, he planted a small kiss on my forehead once I sat down. Since the war of hormones music video and photoshoot, he's been a lot more affectionate and protective. " I brought my camera so I can take some pictures," Taehyung explained while showing off the disposable cameras we had bought last year. "You still haven't run out of film?" I questioned since I had run out of film almost as soon as we got to America from the amount of pictures I took. "No I wanted to save it for special moments," He replied while looking into my eyes. Soon we got to the school and the other members got out of the car before me so I was the last one to get out, we gathered around our manager who said he needed to talk with us before we went to school. "I don't want you two messing around, you're still at school so focus on that. I don't want you six distracting them, admire them from afar, and no pictures or signing anything," He finished off his sentence with a stern voice being very adamant about that last part. We nodded at his words before walking into school with cameras following close behind us. "(N/N) Where's your bag?" Jimin questioned making me turn to Jin who was wearing my black backpack adorned with brightly colored charms. "Jin has it. He never gave it back to me," I replied making Jin take off the backpack and hand it to me. I turned to look at the camera that was following us the entire time, "I'm so excited that the members get to come to school with us, but I'm nervous their going to judge me. They already started making fun of me because of my uniform," I commented while looking back at the boys who were teasing Jungkook for getting recognized as soon as we walked into the building. Some girls were fangirling and letting out squeals when they saw him. I couldn't help but slightly feel upset, but he wasn't my boyfriend it was Taehyung. Although it wasn't any better with the rest of the members they got so much attention from the girls. "Have a good day, we'll be close by if you need anything," Jin said while pulling us in for a hug and flattening out my hair so I wouldn't get in trouble for it being messy. I gave each of the members a hug but stopped in front of Taehyung. I wanted to lean in and kiss him so bad and just show him off, but I couldn't. I hugged him for a slightly longer amount of time before walking to meet with our teachers. My only objective for today was to meet with a vocal coach our school provided for us. I turned around and waved bye to the boys one last time before walking up the stairs to go to my designated meeting area. 

"Hello," I bowed down 90 degrees while being followed by a camera and all of the other members. "Hello, please take a seat and we'll get started on your work for today," My coach instructed. I sat down in the open chair while getting out the lyrics sheet I had stashed in my backpack. My coach Chul took the papers from my hand and looked over them. "I want you to sing Let Me Know from the chorus," He said while handing me back the paper, I looked over to the camera crew shaking my head in a no motion hoping they get the hint. They eventually did after what felt like a game of charades and walked away to find Jungkook and snoop in on his class instead of mine. I let out a sign which made Chul laugh at my actions. "Let's get singing come on we don't have too much time," He commented making me roll my eyes playfully and start singing the chorus of Let Me Know. He stopped me in the middle of singing holding up a finger to signal me to stop. "You need to control your breath, I can hear you gasping for air too much. You also need to engage your diaphragm, that's how you're going to hit high notes and hold them for longer," He explained while rummaging in his bag for something. He eventually pulled a new sheet of paper from his bag and handed it to me. I read the top to see what song he wanted me to sing now only for my eyes to widen. "I'm not singing Good Day, I can't I've never hit a note so high," I commented with a shaky tone in my voice. "Well you're doing it today whether you like it or not, I'll only have you do this part right here," He explained while underlining a section of the lyrics. "That's the highest note she does in the song,". Chul simply shrugged his shoulders and stood next to me. "I'm going to help you and press on your stomach a little while you hit the note so you can see what I mean by using your diaphragm," He explained while hovering a hand over my stomach. "Start whenever you feel ready," I took a deep breath closed my eyes, and started to sing. "I'm in my dream," I felt him push on my stomach when I had to raise the octave, I hit the freaking note. I opened my eyes and couldn't help but have my mouth hang open out of shock. "See you did it, now do it by yourself," he instructed making my little victory short-lived. "Engage your core, that's how you did it," He explained the point of his pushing against my stomach. I nodded tucking stray strands of hair behind my ear and standing up straight. I started the note once again but without Chul's help this time, "I'm in my dream," I hit the first octave perfectly, and it was time to raise it. I made my hand into a fist which was a habit I had learned from Jimin. I finally ended the note with my chest rising up and down at a rapid pace. I turned around to see the members standing there in awe. "Tell me you got that on camera, I just hit a note IU can hit," I said slightly fangirling over IU. "Yeah the camera was rolling we came back at the perfect time," Namjoon explained with a smile on his face. "Let's get going before we miss your ceremony," Jin said while grabbing my bag for me and ushering me down to the gym. I parted ways with the boys while looking for Jungkook. I finally found him we stood next to each other listening to the principal talk about our test scores and how we were moving on to the next grade. I looked up at the balcony where the members were only to see Yoongi with his camera taking pictures of us like a proud dad. I nudged Jungkook and made him pose with me so Yoongi could take more pictures of us. Soon after the ceremony we went outside to wait for the members and Jungkooks parents to come meet us. I was sort of sad since I texted my mom telling her I had a ceremony and that I wanted her to come, but she never did. I was taken out of my thoughts by Chul who was running towards Jungkook and me with an excited look on his face. "(Y/N)! I got you a part in a music video, Got7 needs a girl for their video and they asked for you, please say yes," I nodded slowly, agreeing to be in their music video. I had heard of them before but I never actually met them. "I'll text Bang PD the information," He shouted before walking off on his phone. "Don't leave us for another group (N/N)," Jungkook said in a joking manner. His parents interrupted us asking us to take pictures with him to salvage the day. I stepped aside trying to not be visibly affected by the absence of my mom. "(Y/N) honey take a picture with us," I heard Jungkooks mom tell me making me smile. I stepped into the picture next to Jungkook smushed together by his mom who was now taking me in as one of her own. We got into the car and drove off to get some dinner enjoying the delightful day we had and the fact that I was going to be in another music video except this time it wasn't one of our videos.
