Chapter 31

"Walk me through what you want to do with this song," Hobi instructed while tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear. "We don't have time. Our five-minute break ended 10 minutes ago," I replied while getting up and grabbing my prop mic from the floor. "I guess, but our instructor hasn't shown up yet," Hobi commented while looking around as if he was going to magically appear. "We can go over N.O., We Are Bulletproof Pt 2, Just One Day, I Like It, and Boy In Luv. Since we already know those dances," I replied while looking down at the setlist paper. Hobi nodded, gathered us around to say the order we were practicing the songs and started playing the music. We started the music and danced along to the songs in the order that Hobi had decided for us. Once we finished dancing to Danger which was the last song we decided to dance to I collapsed onto the floor in a joking manner out of breath. "Get up (Y/N). You have a full day of learning ahead of you," Our dance instructor Minjun instructed closing the door behind him and setting his stuff down next to ours. "Seriously get up or else I'll make you stay later to practice while the boys get to go home," he commented with a stern tone making me quickly get up off the floor. "That's better. Now I'm going to teach you a new dance for Embarrassed, Jungkook go get me three chairs please," Minjun instructed the boy while he positioned the rest of us in a circle formation around Namjoon. I was placed behind the head of a prop bed that Minjun had gotten in the practice room. "When he starts rapping I want you all to do one full turn and you two," he said while pointing at Yoongi and Hobi. "I want you to sit down on the ground, Yoongi and J-Hope slightly bend your knees," he then turned over to Jungkook and me who were just standing there waiting for further instructions. "Jungkook get in the bed and under the covers and when your part starts you're going to act like you're waking up," He then turned to face me and just stared at me intensely. "I want you to just duck behind the bedhead and pop up when it's your turn to sing," he instructed and told us we were going to practice that a few times until we got it right. 

It felt like hours of playing the same minute of the song over and over again I was tired of hearing the song and hearing my voice. We added a few minor things to the choreography that were easy to memorize so there was no need to go over them 100 times. "I need help getting another prop in here Jungkook, Taehyung come help me," Minjun asked while the three of them walked out of the room leaving me alone with the other members. I sprawled myself out on the bed while letting out an exaggerated sigh which caught the attention of Hobi who walked over and laid next to me on the bed. "When we get home do you want to stay up and work on your song?" He asked making me slightly perk up out of excitement, "Yes, but don't let the other members know or else they'll get me into trouble since we have that comeback show tomorrow," I replied in a hushed tone so that none of the other members would hear us. Hobi laughed at my antics. Soon Minjun, Jungkook, and Taehyung walked into the practice room lugging in a couch and placing it next to the bed. "Okay after dancing on the bed it's Yoongi's part so I want him to be in the center of the couch, and the rest of you pair up," he instructed and all the boys paired up together leaving me to be the odd one out. Hobi with Jimin, Jin with Taehyung, and Namjoon with Jungkook. I looked back at Minjun with a helpless look on my face, "Who am I supposed to be with?" I asked in a slightly upset tone which only made him smirk. "I think you'll like behind alone because while Yoongi does his part the rest of you who paired up are going to pretend to kiss and be affectionate," he instructed with a smug smirk on his face. Taehyung shot his hand up as if wanting to ask a question, "Can (N/N) be my partner?" he asked making Jin look offended and answer for Minjun, "No, you're stuck with me," which only made me laugh and ask Minjun once again. "So what do I do?" he looked around the room as if being stumped on my question, seems like he didn't think this through. "If you want take this time to either be affectionate with Yoongi or do aegyo," I cringed at the word aegyo, I had done it before for interviews and in photoshoots but that was against my will. "I'll flirt with Yoongi, I know how much he loves me he won't be able to resist my charm," I replied while sitting on the couch next to Yoongi and leaning into him. He smiled at my words and wrapped an arm around me pulling me closer to him playing along with what I was doing. "Perfect just keep doing that," Minjun commented with a smile on his face. We continued learning the dance as well as other various dances throughout the night until the sun was far down and it was nearing midnight. We left the studio drained from the amount of dancing and singing we did. The car ride was completely silent and was instead filled with the soft sounds of snoring from some of the members. Soon we arrived home and most of the members went to bed except for Hobi and I who were instead in the music lab half asleep trying to write lyrics. "Tell me again what you want to portray with this song?" He asked for what felt like the millionth time making me roll my eyes. "How I'm one of a kind and when people worship me like I'm some kind of A-list celebrity I can step up and act like I am which only makes me even more unique," I replied slightly confused at my own words. It felt like I had lost the meaning of the song myself. I sat up straight in my chair fixing my messy hair and grabbing the pencil Hobi had in his hand. "Maybe we should give it a rest for tonight I'm tired and we have that show tomorrow," I cut him off by shushing him which was kind of rude but I had finally written something down after hours of sitting in that putrid room. I turned the notebook to face Hobi so he could read what I had written down. "Homemade They don't make 'em like this no more One taste And I make 'em go, make 'em go fall in love," he read out loud in a breathy tone looking back up at me with his eyebrows raised in a shocked manner. "Wow," was all he could say. "So, sugar is a big theme here right?" he questioned while taking the notebook and pencil away from me and writing something down under the lines I had just written, and slid it back over to me once he was done writing. "I'm sweet like candy Yeah, look, don't touch Don't try to get handsy You get a sugar rush I'm sweet like candy (candy) Yeah, look, don't touch (look, don't touch) Don't try to get handsy (handy) You get a sugar rush," and just like that we had decided on the course of the song. "I think that if you add a few more lines you have a song that just needs a beat to go along with it," he explained with a slight smirk on his face, which in return made me smile because when I finished this song I would have officially written a song. "I think so too, would you mind if I tried to write the rest of the song by myself?" I asked with a slightly guilty look on my face. "Of course not, this is your song, and your first one at that so take as much time as you need to make this feel like it's your song," he replied while moving a hand onto my thigh and patting it in a comforting way. He got up to leave the room but I grabbed his wrist stopping him from leaving, "Stay, please." was all I had to say for him to sit back down next to me so he could just watch me write down lyrics on the paper all night long. I was soon around 3:00 in the morning I had slammed my pencil down on the table waking Hobi up from his slumber. "Are you done (N/N)?" he asked in a groggy voice which only made him seem even more attractive, "Yes finally. I've officially written my first song," I replied with a satisfied smile on my face. I slid the paper covered with lyrics over to him so that he could read them and tell me if he approved of them.
