Namjoon Rushed into our room with the biggest smile on his face slightly scaring Taehyung, Jungkook, and me. "Guys, guys! Bang PD just said we're nominated for an award." He yelled out at us before running around the apartment, yelling out how we were nominated for an award. When he calmed down he came back into the room explaining everything we needed to know about the award. " It's at the Melon Award Show, it's nothing big since we're not performing or anything, but we got nominated for Rookie of the Year." He exclaimed acting like a little kid in a candy shop. "That's amazing, When is it?" I asked the Man waiting for an answer. "In 2 days on the 13 of November, so get ready we're going to have to leave the dorm early to get everything done and see if we win." I nodded taking into consideration what he had just explained to us. He soon walked out of the room leaving all of us to go back to goofing off like we were before. Jungkook and Taehyung were talking about the hints Bang PD was dropping about taking us to California to learn more about Hip-Hop. "Well I think it's a fun idea but I'm going to struggle talking over there," I explained to the boys sitting in front of me, I thought it was funny how Taehyung was my boyfriend but spent more time with Jungkook. He hadn't even kissed me since the first time he did, I think he was just scared to do so, and honestly so was I. "Your English isn't that bad. You can say simple stuff." Jungkook said in a way to try and make me feel better but it wasn't working. "I'm terrible at English Kookie don't even lie to me, It's a good thing he hasn't confirmed it yet, I think I would cry if we went to California without a translator," I said while shoving my face in my pillow just feeling frustrated at the thought of us going to America. "You'll regret not going, I remember when I went as a trannie the air was different. It was like being on an entirely different planet too. The food was bigger, there were oceans everywhere. I would do anything to go back." I would give up anything to go to a beach I've never been to and heard great things about the beaches in California. "Okay if we get to go swimming in the ocean then I would go," I said to the two boys in front of me. "Why is that the selling point?" Jungkook asked almost in a snarky tone. "I've never been to a beach, I grew up in the mountains of Busan with my Mom so there were never really beaches to go to and we just moved to Soul about 7 years ago." This was the most I had ever talked about my family or living situation so the boys just stared at me taking in what I had just told them. The silence was broken when Jungkook suddenly said "Why don't you talk about your family?" That earned him a punch in the arm from Taehyung. I giggled at their actions since they truly argued like brothers. "I don't know I guess there's not much to talk about," I explained while shrugging. "(N/N), you grew up in Busan too I think that's something to talk about," Jungkook said with wide eyes and a sassy tone. "Well now you know, what else do you want to know? Hm?" The boys looked at each other as if pondering what they were going to ask me next. "What was your family like?" Taehyung asked quickly almost as if he regretted asking in the first place. "Um, well My mom is absent, my dad was an alcoholic and left when I was young, and my mom was never the same since he left us," I explained in a quiet tone avoiding eye contact with the boys. How our conversation went from America to my broken family life. Soon we decided to all just go to bed since we had a long couple of months in our future so getting our rest while we could was very needed.
I woke up feeling groggy but overly excited since today was the day of our first award show, even if we didn't win being nominated was something to be extremely grateful for. I quickly got up and got ready for the day throwing on a random pair of jeans and a sweater since it was now getting cold in Korea. I went back into our room seeing the rest of the members equally as giddy as I was. Soon after a long car ride and getting our hair and makeup done, Nari gave me a black dress, with some black knee-high stockings, and some black Mary jane styled shoes.
