Chapter 1

I slowly felt my eyes flutter open as the sunlight showered over my face. I sat up in bed as I let out a big yawn removing the covers from on top of myself. I let out a small sigh whilst I decided what to do for the day. I settled on going to a coffee shop near my house in Seoul south Korea. I decided upon a simple outfit of brown pants with a white shirt and a cream and brown cardigan.

After I showered and got dressed I got my iPhone 5 with a pair of headphones and started my walk to the coffee shop. After a 15-minute walk, I finally got to the coffee shop and went up to the cashier to order a coffee. "Hello, can I just get an iced americano please?" I said to the cashier while pulling out some won to pay for my coffee. " of course we'll have that right out for you." After I handed the won to the cashier and got my coffee I settled at a table while listening to some music. I was just sipping on my coffee and scrolling through social media when I felt a sudden tap on my shoulder. "Hello there my name is Kim Ara I work for a company called Big-Hit Entertainment, and we're looking for new talent to create a new group, I saw you from afar and thought that you were a natural beauty if you could sing and dance you'd be perfect for the company." I sat there stunned for a second, me of all people not that I wasn't grateful, but I was just sitting here at a coffee shop and I was only 15 why would they want a 15-year-old who they know nothing about to audition for their company, maybe this is all just a big joke! "um I'm only 15 years old, I do dance and sing but only for fun, I've never taken either serious." my voice slightly trembling by the sudden invitation to audition. "Oh that's alright sweetheart, that's why you have to train if you get accepted to pass onto the second part of the process." Ara said while pulling out a chair and sitting down in front of me."It's simple, come to an audition on Friday with a song to dance to and a song to sing to as well as a song to rap, you may not be a strong rapper or singer but we just want to see your range. If we like you you'll be the last member we need to make the group we're looking to form you'll train for a little while and work on your debut album." Ara looked at me with a glimmer in her eyes, I had never seen someone so excited for a stranger. This all felt like a fever dream but what's the harm in going to audition, right? I looked into Ara's brown eyes full of excitement and let out a small nod while mustering up the courage to say "Yeah, I'll do it, what time on Friday and where?" Ara pulled out a piece of blank paper and a pen and started writing while saying "Auditions will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at Big Hit Entertainment, go to the front desk and tell the receptionist that you are there for the audition." As I was bombarded with the information all I could do was look at her and slowly nod while receiving the paper from her that was now filled with information. I folded the paper and placed it in my pocket I sped walk home to start preparing for my audition barely realizing that I only had 2 days to prepare. "Gosh (Y/N) why would you do this to yourself?" I mumbled to myself as I changed out of my previous outfit and into a pair of black sweatpants with a plain white t-shirt.

 I sat on my bed while scrolling on my phone trying to pick out a song to sing and dance along to for Friday. I finally decided on Push Push by Sistar since it had gone viral in the past few years in 2010. I plugged in my headphones to my phone and slipped it into my pocket as I started to dance and sing along to the song. By the end of the song my chest was heaving up and down as I felt short of breath not realizing how out of shape I was. I kept practicing throughout the night and before I knew it, it was Friday morning. I got out of bed and hopped in the shower letting the cold water run down my body as I stood there for a while pondering my thoughts 'Gosh what if they don't let me move on to the next part?' 'wait why do I even care? It's not like I'm doing this seriously, I'm just doing this for fun and nothing else.' I turned off the shower and dried myself off wrapping a towel around me as I walked back into my room and picked out my outfit, I picked out a simple white workout jacket with a pair of white sweatpants to match the jacket with a pair of Converse. I started my long walk to the Big-Hit building with a pit full of butterflies in my stomach, I didn't even understand why I was so nervous. It's not like this audition meant something to me it was just for fun, after all, I've never taken singing and dancing seriously enough to become an Idol. After 30 Minutes of walking and thinking of what was to come from this, I opened the glass doors turning to my right, and walking up to the front desk timidly before speaking to the lady. "Hi, um my name is Kim (Y/N) I'm here for the audition I was scouted by Ara." "Oh yes! (Y/N) I have been expecting you, you're a bit early but if you walk down the hall and open the first door on your left there should be an empty room with a table and chairs you can use the open space to warm up and practice what you have prepared for Bang-PD." She said with a warm smile before wishing me luck and going back to typing on her computer. I slowly walked down the hall and opened the door before setting my bag down in the corner of the room walking over to the center of the room getting ready to sing and dance along to Push Push. Once I ran through the song while singing and dancing I heard a knock on the door and told whoever knocked to come in. A man who looked to be in his mid-30s with a round chubby face and body walked in and flashed a warm smile at me before setting up a video camera pressing record and walking over to his chair behind the table before taking papers out a folder he had and spreading them out. The room was silent until he spoke a few moments later "Hello my name is Bang Si-hyuk I am the CEO of Big-Hit Entertainment and I will be recording this audition to review later and make my final decision. I see here that your name is Kim (Y/N) and that you're 15 years old?" I slowly nodded making sure that was my name and age because of the way that the nerves were messing with my brain making me forget even the most simple information about myself. He gave me a simple nod and continued to speak "Okay well I have the song you submitted for your audition here just to confirm it's Push Push by Sistar correct?" This time I worked up the courage to say "Yes that's correct" "Alright I'll play the song whenever you're ready and I'm wishing you the best of luck." I gave the older man a nod and the music started playing and I started dancing whilst singing along, It felt like I lost control of my body for the 3 minutes the song lasted I poured my blood sweat, and tears into the performance, It dawned on me mid-performance that I wanted this position more than anything I wanted to be apart of this girl group more than anything I've ever wanted in my life. Once the song was over and I hit the final pose I could feel the shortness of breath catching up to me as I was audibly panting. I slowly shifted my eyes to look back at Bang Si-Hyuk who had a shocked expression on his face. "(Y/N) You were incredible, I've never seen such a young girl pour so much into a performance, Will you give me a few minutes to show this to the other trainees, and I'll be back with a verdict for you." I only nodded while smiling due to the shortness of breath and the nerves coming back to me watching the man walk out of the room shutting the door behind him. I walked over to my bag that was left on the floor in the corner reaching for my water bottle to rehydrate. I sat on the floor in silence fiddling with the ends of my sleeves waiting for the CEO to come back. After what felt like hours and years passed I heard the door open which led to me whipping my head around to look at the door there stood the man with a new folder and he stood there with a straight face. All that was going through my mind was that he wasn't sure how to reject me. My face fell from an enthusiastic look to a dreadful face knowing what was coming next from the CEO's mouth. "(Y/N), welcome to the next step towards becoming an idol if you follow me I'll show you your future members and I'll let you know about your schedule." He suddenly paused in the middle of his sentence and looked at me seriously "You are okay with relocating right? For training and bonding purposes we require our trainees and idols to live in dorms to ensure you are all aware of schedules and recording times and just grow closer not only as members but as friends too." With all the information suddenly rushing at me I paused after getting up off the floor to follow my new CEO "I'm fine with living in a dorm I just need some time to pack and move everything to the dorm." Bang PDs smile only got bigger as he turned around and hurried me to follow him in walking around the building up some stairs and through hallways until we got to a slightly bigger practice studio with the walls covered in mirrors. I slowly trailed behind Bang PD standing behind him as he opened the door and started excitedly talking " Are you all ready to meet the newest and final member of BTS?" He stepped to the side away from the door revealing a room full of 7 different boys all with shocked faces. I looked at them and then looked at Bang PD before whispering "I'm in a group with BOYS! I'M THE ONLY GIRL!"
