Hobi dragged me to the garage, closely followed by Yoongi and Namjoon. "Are you sure I'm ready to do this right now?" I questioned, slightly out of breath due to the fast pace we were walking at. "I wouldn't take you to the studio if I didn't think you were. (Y/N) Trust me, please," Hobi replied while opening the door to the garage that we called a studio, leading me in. I walked over to where the mic stand was, awkwardly standing there while they set up everything they had to. "I don't even have the lyrics. Oh well, looks like we can't." I was interrupted by Yoongi handing me a notebook with the finished lyrics, accompanied by a smug look on his face. "Start from the top, if you need help with pronunciation, just ask me," Namjoon smiled. I felt nervous for no reason, if I messed up, I could redo it, and at the end of the day, I didn't have to release this, and I'd be saving the company money. I put on the headphones and opened the notebook, flipping to the page with the lyrics. I took a deep breath, letting it out while looking up at Yoongi and nodding, signaling him to start the music. Once the music started, I sang the lyrics scribbled down in Yoongi's handwriting.

I'm sweet like candy
Yeah, look, don't touch
Don't try to get handsy
You get a sugar rush
I'm sweet like candy (candy)
Yeah, look, don't touch (look, don't touch)
Don't try to get handsy (handsy)
Yeah, sugar rushYeah, I got cake, baby, yeah, I got dough
Bet you never had a bitch who had both
Mmm, and if you try to get close, I'll
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bangSweet like lemonade, smooth like butter
Won't give it up for no sucker
Don't take shots, baby, duck and take cover
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang

The music abruptly cut off; I was so focused on singing that the sudden cutoff surprised me a little. "You're doing amazing; I just wanted to give you a break. You sound a little shaky, and I know you're a stable singer," Hobi explained while looking at me from his seat at the table that was set up. I nodded my head and took a couple more deep breaths in an attempt to calm myself. I gave the signal once again, and the music started. I could sing the remainder of the song with no problems this time.

Homemade
They don't make 'em like this no more

And I make 'em go, make 'em go fall in loveI'm sweet like candy
Yeah, look, don't touch

Don't try to get handsy (handsy)
You get a sugar rushDon't try to get handsy
You get a sugar rushNo artificial sweetener
You gon' eat it up 'til yo' teeth hurt
I don't need a man for no dessert

By the end of the song, we were all dancing along in a playful manner, making me more confident. I re-did the song a couple of times, so we had a variety of demos to pick from once the time came to release this song. Yoongi walked up to me once we were done recording. He ruffled my hair slightly, messing it up, but that was his way of being affectionate with me. "Yoongi, stop it," I said in a whiney tone, although I secretly liked the affectionate side of him. "You love me (N/N)," I commented, calling me out since I did love him. "Whatever. Are there any other songs I can help write, I feel on top of the world right now, so I need to take advantage of that," I replied while walking out of the garage and back up to the apartment. "Hmm, the rap line and Jungkook made a demo to a song called I Need U, but we want to fix it a little to accommodate all of you," Yoongi explained while walking into the music lab with me following closely behind him. "I can help, Joonie told me the overall theme of the album," I explained while sitting down next to him. He looked over at me and gave me an unsure look, almost as if he wasn't trusting in my skills. "Explain to me what you want to change about the song," He instructed while pulling up the recorded demo and pressing play. Once the song was finished, I was left in utter shock by these boy's vocals, they called themselves rappers and acted humble, saying they could never be singers, but this demo proved different. "Well, this is a song meant to deal with the longing for a relationship, but also just youth in general, right?" I asked, and in return, all he did was nod his head, agreeing with what I had said. I picked up a pen that was lying around, as well as my notebook, and opened it to an empty page. I wrote down over and over, "I need you," it was the only thing that could come to my mind. I could feel Yoongi peering over my shoulder to read what I had written down, "I need you?" He questioned, making me slightly insecure about my songwriting skills, although I had never written a full song before. "Think about it. This is a song about needing a girl and needing to take in youth, I need you," I tried explaining, but it only made him more visibly confused. "Why can't I leave you?" were the next couple of words I scribbled down. "(N/N) I love that you want to help, but I don't think you can," Yoongi said in a gentle voice, trying to let me down gently. "No, please trust me, I'm not going to change it all, but I can help," I replied, trying to get him to understand where I was going with these scribbles of random words even though I didn't know what I was planning on doing with anything I had written down. He put his hands up in a defensive manner while leaning back in his chair. I replayed the demo over and over again until I mustered up some sort of inspiration, which didn't happen fast since the demo seemed perfect already.
