Chapter 7

“Oh, hello.” I mumbled in this guys face. Is he serious? Does he think that I am about to freak out and cry like some little girl….?

He laughed in my face.

“If I were you human, I would be very frightened right now.”

I didn’t notice until right then that this Sam guy was actually holding me up about a foot in the air, his fists clenched tightly, gripping the collar of my shirt, and my hands trying to support my weight so as not so have my shirt tear.

“And if I were you” i spat, “I would let me down before your pissed off brother kicks your sorry ass.” At those words I kicked him as hard as I could in the nuts, not receiving much of a reply, although he did let me drop to the ground rather painfully. I stood up immediately, not letting him see that he hurt me, my foot most likely sprained from the awkward fall.

Sebastian looked as I described; pissed. He tried his best not to tear his brother’s head off, or so it seemed. I quickly ran in front of him, placing both my outstretched hands on his chest, at once feeling his tense body slacken just a fraction.

“This is not the place for this.” I cautioned, pushing him back. His hand reached up to take hold of one of my wrists still placed on him. “Let’s go.”

“Sam, don’t you dare think this is the end brother” Sebastian snarled. His brother only laughed.

“Oh my Sebastian, you seemed to have lost all your manners. My, father won’t be too happy to hear about this, will he? I guess I will just have to go arrange a meeting with him, and see just what exactly he has to say about the matter” and with that he turned on his heel, breaking into a light run.

I blinked, and suddenly at the spot I last saw Sam, a dark wolf replaced him, running off into thedistance, disappearing as he turned left.

“Come on, Nia” Sebastian said as he pulled me from my wrist behind him. I struggled to gain my freedom, but to no avail. His hands were like steel cuffs, binding me to him. I tripped silently behind him, allowing him to lead me to the parking lot, and towards his car.

“What about my car?” I asked, “I’m going to need it to get to school.”

“Not necessary. You will not be returning to school.”

“Not returning? Sorry to burst your little escapade bubble, but in case you haven’t noticed, I’m about this close to graduating, and I’m not about to be a chicken and drop out because of some idiot psycho!” I cried, holding up my hand in his face, my index finger and thumb squeezed almost to the point of touching to show how close I truly was to being a high school graduate.

He smiled at my insult, more to himself than to me, but continued to push me into the passenger seat and quickly making his way around the car. He jumped in, speeding away. I didn’t seem to recognize where we were going.

“I don’t understand…” I complained, not used to the feeling of helplessness and confusion. “Explain” I demanded, glaring at him.

“Sammuel is a confused being. He was brought into this world under false pretenses, being taught to hate all human kind, so I am sure he resents my feelings towards you. Sammuel, or Sam, means Venom of god. This is an evil name, as you should know Mrs. 150 IQ points” he joked, but not to my humor, and continued. “He, in of himself is evil. I do not think you entirely understand the meaning of this word, for amongst the gods, only the cruelest with the foulest of minds attain this description.”

I perked up at a certain part of his little speech.

“He resents your feelings towards me? Which are what exactly?” I teased.
