*On the way to Busan*
Jin stared out the window, lost in his thoughts as the landscape blurred by—the trees and houses a passing haze as they sped toward Busan. His mind was a whirlwind of concerns, doubts, and responsibilities, all of which weighed heavily on his shoulders. A gentle pressure on his thigh pulled him from his reverie, and he turned to see Yoongi watching him intently.
"Shouldn't you be focused on the road ahead, Yoongi-chi?" Jin teased, his voice light but edged with fatigue.
Yoongi huffed at the familiar nickname, rolling his eyes as he turned his attention back to the road. "You're doing it again."
Jin looked away, feigning ignorance. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Yeah, sure." Yoongi's tone was dry, but his concern was evident.
Silence settled between them, heavy and uncomfortable, until Yoongi finally broke it. "Hyung, I know you feel responsible for all of us as our leader, but we're trained for this. We can handle ourselves, and we will be okay."
Jin sighed deeply, glancing over his shoulder to check on the others. Jimin and Taehyung were slumped against each other in the middle row, fast asleep. Hoseok and Jungkook were sprawled out in the back, similarly passed out. Namjoon sat next to Hoseok, earbuds in, staring out the window but not quite asleep. Jin turned back to Yoongi, his expression softening.
"I know, Yoongi-ah. I know you're all some of the best agents out there, but I can't help worrying. Not just as your leader but as your hyung. It's hard to switch that part off."
Yoongi nodded, keeping his eyes on the road. "I get it, hyung. But when you're stressed and worried, it affects all of us. And you know how impossible it is to handle three upset babies when they sense you're not okay."
Jin chuckled, the tension in his shoulders easing just a little.
Silence fell over them once more, but this time it was companionable, filled with understanding rather than unease. Jin leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes. His thoughts wandered back to the early days when he first met the members of his team—the people he now called family. They were just rookies back then, each carrying their own burdens, scars, and silent battles. Maybe it was those unspoken struggles that had drawn them together, forming bonds deeper than just comradeship.
******Hey Guys
Lately the chapters probably feel like fillers. I promise there's a lot of action and suspense in the story. Just I haven't been in my best mental space lately.
I'm sorry. I promise to make it up soon.
